I called CRO this morning to get a price on WL 10/2-10/9 using code ZREW.

This morning the CM quoted me $1587.33. However, after clearing it with my husband, I called back to book and the SAME EXACT DATES, SAME EXACT VIEW are now $1654.45.

What the heck is that all about???

travel insurance??? Sometimes they add that in. I would call back again.

The second call sounds like it might have been through WDWTravel which adds travel insurance...Make sure it is CRO you are speaking with...

It is the travel insurance. You have to tell them you don't want it BEFORE they take your deposit! Call back and tell them you want those dates but NO travel insurance (unless you think you NEED the travel insurance) but I declined it on my reservation.

Hope this helps!

I was given a tip about the cancellation insurance that makes alot of sense. Even if you do want the insurance decline it until the 45 day full pay window comes then call and add it to the full payment then. This way if better codes come out or plans change you can change your ressie without penalty anyway before the 45 day window comes and then Disney won't have your insurance premium to keep.

As everyone has said, it's probably insurance. I got a quote on WL as well for 7 nights - $1587.53. Call again and make sure you ask for "no insurance".

I recently called to book a 1-night stay at the All-Star Movies (before our stay at our DVC resort). The reservationist took my info and then said "A deposit, equal to one-night's stay, in the amount of $160+ is due by such-and-such-a-date". I asked why it was $160 when the rack rate at that time of year is $99 per night. She didn't know! She said the computer said it was $160 and that's what I'd have to send or the reservation would be cancelled. We went round and round for a while, with me continuing to ask why it was so much more than rack rate when she finally said "It's the room, plus the insurance, plus tax". ...sigh... Why didn't she mention the insurance in the first place? I told her I didn't want the insurance and then the rate came down to where it should be.

I really hate dealing with the WDTC. If they do away with CRO I'm going to miss it.

How do I know who I am talking to?

Do I ask for CRO or do they have another number?

Since only DC members can book the package until the 11th don't all calls have to be to WDTC now?? I thought they were the only ones who could book DC.

1-407-W-DISNEY... just make sure you specifically ask for the CRO.

Sorry if this is a stupid question. I can't find where the definitions are... thanks!

I'm catching on... and we want CRO because of the cancellation policy of 5 days rather than 45 days. And tell them no insurance. I think I'm ready.

These boards are the best and so are all of you! Thanks!

You have to book this package through WDTC if you are a DC member. Just tell them before you get a quote that you don't want insurance.

Are you sure?? When I called on a few separate occassions to get prices, I was told that the cancellation window was 5 days. On one occassion I was told 45 days and I then hung up and got someone else who told me it was 5 days. I thought that was the big difference... WDWTC is 45 days, CRO is 5 days??? I'm not an expert so I could be wrong.

Disney Club reservations have different cancellation and payment terms than other WDTC reservations. The Disney Club cancellation is 5 days. I just reread through this information on mousesavers.com last night.

You have to pay in full 21 days prior and you have a 5 day cancellation policy.

I booked through WDTC.

Has anyone actually booked this through CRO? Can you? I thought that if you used your DC card that you automatically had to go through WDTC.

The policy on mousesavers is correct.

If someone tells you 45 days, then I would just hang up.

I did notice that on other package reservations we have had that the DC POLICY is the 21 days prior payment and 5 day cancellation.

Does this mean that when all the non DC members go to book this fairytale package they will have the 45 day cancellation policy. This is my understanding. Anybody know for sure?

This is from Deb's site. ~:D~

A WDTC Disney Club Package - If you are a Disney Club member, you are required to book through WDTC but DC members are given different terms than the general public. A deposit of $100.00 is required within 14 days of booking. The balance is due 21 days prior to check in. Cancellations made 5 days or less prior to arrival will incur a $100.00 fee. Changes or modifications made 21 days or less before arrival will incur a $10.00 fee.

SuzyQue,
I was told last night that if you made changes between 21 days and 5 days, there is a $100 change fee. If you make changes from 5 days to arrival date there is a $200 change fee.

Also, after this package is available to the general public, and not just DC members, the payment IS DUE 45 days in advance, not 21 like with DC. There are a few other differences too.http://www.wdwinfo.com/sites/family/angel.gif

If you book a package that is under a code, not a DC package discount, than you have to pay 45 days in advance in most cases. I'm a DC member and I booked a DC discount package first. Than when the discount codes came out, I called back and booked using the code through WDTC and the payment policy changed. So it depends on what type package you book what type payment policy you will be under. Even though I'm a DC member, once I used the code from mousesavers, the payment policy was no longer under the DC policy. The only way to get the DC payment policy is when booking a DC package. According WDTC, they are booking all packages. But WDTC is so messed up right now because of all the new policies that this may or may not be true. I would check mousesavers for the latest on payment policy.

If that's true, everyone better check on your cancellation/change policy when you book, because the last DC reservation I booked, changes made after final payment (21 days out) only incurred a 10.00 charge (CM said because I was a DC member), and 100.00 charge inside the 5 day cancellation period. ~~
