I know this post is on the wrong board, but I'm not getting much action on the community board.

My wife is accompanying me on a business trip to San Diego later this month (our first time away alone together since we started having kids 14 years ago). I'm looking for dining and entertainment suggestions. We will be staying at the Westin Horton Plaza.

We were there 3-4 years ago with the kids and have already done the zoo, Seaworld, Harbor Excursion thing.

Thanks for any help you can give me before this post gets bumped to another board.

If you get anywhere near La Jolla, be sure to stop in at Jose's and have some nachos and salsa, washed down with a Corona. This is a great Mexican 'corner pub' with fine food and friendly atmosphere. We were there for Super Bowl XXXII. We scalped the tickets and watched the game at Jose's.

I would make it a point to visit Coronado Island and the Hotel del Coronado. The resort is lovely and their beach is one of the best.

We also enjoyed strolling around Old Town San Diego. There's many restaurants in the area but unfortunately we found a fast food place nearby since we'd promised our son.
