What kind of drinking water will we find on the ship? Tap water? Bottled? Both?

Both. The tap water on the ship is very good. We drank it regularly in our stateroom. You can also purchase bottled water.

I carried several cases of bottled water onboard with me on our cruise, but wished I hadn't... bottled water is HEAVY. Besides, the drinking water available at the Deck 9 beverage station tasted much better than I expected... much better than Florida water.

It seems that they desalinate and chlorinate seawater for all onboard water purposes. Drinking water is then additionally filtered to remove the chlorine taste. So, I suggest bringing a few empty water bottles with you, filling them at the Deck 9 beverage station, and letting one bottle chill in your in-room fridge while you're enjoying the other bottle.

Don't fill your bottles from the tap of your bathroom sink... although that water is safe, it is not the extra-filtered drinking water.

In my opinion, the drinking water on Deck 9 and the water served in the restaurants was terrible. I only used the tap water in our cabin for brushing my teeth, so I can't compare it to the "purified" stuff.

I've said it before... if water has a flavor, there's something there that shouldn't be. I find Dasani or Aquafina or most of those types of bottled waters are truly flavor-free, so if you're picky like I am, plan to bring some along or, for a more convenient and expensive option, purchase it onboard.

Fortunately there's lemonade at the Deck 9 beverage station; adding just a little to the water seemed to cover its icky tap taste. In the restaurants I asked for lemon slices and that worked OK too.

I thought they had a pretty decent selection of beverages onboard, so it's unlikely you'll dehydrate if you just can't stand the water (though I prefer to ingest my calories via FOOD!). :)
