Is there a fee to get into "downtown Disney" (Pleasure Island, West Side, Marketplace). I'm confused about how this works.

There isn't a fee to go to Downtown Disney in California, but there isn't a Pleasure Island there. That is only at the Florida location. At the Florida location it is free to go to downtown Disney, but you pay for admission to Pleasure Island at night at least. Not sure if there is always a charge during the day maybe someone else will know.

Downtown Disney at both locations has lots of nice restaurants, a great lego store, Disney stores and more! We hung out for ages at the lego store, looking at the Rainforest Cafe and the big Disney store. Lots of clubs to go to as well. It was easy to see the Disneyland fireworks from there so we went one night. Can't hear the music they play in the park, but oh well!

Does the downtown disney have cool lego creations like the one in WDW?

They have some, but it isn't as big as the one in Florida. The only reason why I noticed is because my hubby loved legoes as a kid and we went last Thanksgiving to WDW and he spent ages in the store. Again when we went last month, we ended up lingering around the mechanical legoes/hi-tech legoes. Still I think you could spend ages in there.

You would think Anaheim would have a larger Lego display to advertise Legoland. :earsgirl:
