We are leaving on May 16th and I have booked meals at Hollywood and Vine, Rose and Crown and San Angel- not because these are my favorite but because they were available. I'm sort of wishing we had a character meal booked but I asked about princess and chef Mickeys and they seemed to be booked solid for that week. Can you think of a good late-notice character meal? Liberty Tree was out for us, too. Part of our problem is that we have 7 people in our party.
Has anyone else had any luck with late notice character meals? Maybe I should call the dine line and just ask them for openings?
Thanks!

I have read several times on this board (and had it happen personally) where Chef Mickey's had been either full or extremely limited when first tried for, but when tried a few days before the needed day, all kinds of tables were suddenly available. Don't know why, though. You might give it a try. :D

Since you mentioned the princesses, I'm assuming you are open to doing breakfast. You might try Cape May Cafe at the Beach Club for breakfast or 1900 Park Faire for breakfast or dinner.

You might try Garden Grill at The Land in Epcot. Good food and character interaction. We usually do a late lunch/early dinner.

We have never had any trouble getting 1900 Park Faire for breakfast at the last minute, and believe me, it is delicious, the service is fantastic, and the characters are great!
Garden Grille for an early dinner is also good.
Have a great time!
