Happy Haunts Ball 2003?

I was trying to place this question in the most appropriate forum and decided to put it here. Please feel free to move it if it should go somewhere else.

I was wondering if there will be a Haunted Mansions Happy Haunts Ball this year. I saw something briefly about it but it was taken off the website pretty quick.

Could you please tell me what The Haunted Mansions Happy Haunts Ball is? I have heard of it, but always wondered what exactly it is.

Last October 30, 2002, WDW held a merchandise event at the MK. The park opened at 7:00pm (I think) for folks that paid $110 (??) per person for the event. You had the opporunity to purchase limited adition merchandise, dinner was provided, HM seminars were provided, silent auction use of parts of the park, gifts and a parade. It was a great time. I have heard that they may have it again this year but nothing definite.

Thanx for the info, Buzz. I called CRO looking for info, and they knew nothing about it. I am going to take this topic to the Theme Park Board, to increase exposure.

When the official word came out that Disneyana had been cancelled they mentioned that one of the reasons for cancelling was that they were going to concentrate on other events and specifically mentioned the Happy Haunts Ball. Hope this helps. We thought about going last year but did not. This year we are already planning the Halloween trip in the hope that they will have it again.

Thanx for the info! I just assumed it was a 'general public' event, not a pin trading event.
We are not pin traders, but do you think it is something worth while for us to do?
