Hey, look, I found an actual rumor out there:Sibling scribes Adam and Melanie Wilson have been hired to write the animated adaptation of Rapunzel for Walt Disney Feature Animation, says Variety. The movie is intended as an all-CGI production.

There was an article yesterday that talked about the new strategy at Disney animation under David Stainton (a/k/a "the new guy"). He'd also mentioned Rapunzel as one of the fairy tales he wanted to work on for future films.

If it's done right, I think this could be Disney's next (long overdue) blockbuster.

My five yr. old got the Barbie Rapunzel movie for Chistmas. It is pretty cute but Disney could do it way better. They are making a mint on the "Princesses" right now so I say "go for it!"
