GF Suites

Hi,

Has anyone every stayed in one of the GF suites?

Does anyone know if they discount the suites during value season or any season?

Where do I get pricing and description of the suites?

My DH and I got to stay in a Suite at the GF in Sept. of 97'. We had booked just a regular room since they are so expensive there but were splurging because we were on our honeymoon. Well, we checked in and to our surprise, the CM checking us in said "Congratulations on your honeymoon, we're giving you a complimentary upgrade to a suite!" It was wonderful. We were in the Sago Cay lodge on the 5th floor in a suite and it was such an awesome experience! Sorry I can't help you with pricing, but I can definetly tell you that it was beautiful and we completely enjoyed every minute of our stay!!:) ;)

The suites at the GF look wonderful! Unfortunately, Disney does not discount their suites. They do discount their concierge rooms, but not their suites. Another good place to check for rates and pictures of the suites is www.ourlaughingplace.com in the resorts section. :)

As others have stated, suites are never discounted. You may find the current prices for the GF suites on the official WDW website: click here for GF room rates. (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/resorts/rates/roomratesindex?id=GFGrandFloridianResortRsrtRmRtGr ping) Don't forget to add 11.5% tax to the rates stated on the WDW website.

I don't know if you've ever stayed at the GF before, so I thought I would mention that Dreams Unlimited Travel (the owner of the Dis) has a couple of excellent webpages that are devoted to the GF: click here to go to their main GF webpage. (http://www.dreamsunlimited.com/resorts/GrandFloridian/grandfloridianmainpage.htm) You'll find a link to streaming video of the resort on that webpage, and if you look at the webpage that is devoted to "rooms," you'll find out some suite info.
