Will be there on the 21st... no can do a Sunday meet (I am over spent for weekend trips planned already  ;)) I might drag my DH along too :teeth: Still no preference on any location as long as it isn't too hard to find :)

It'll be nice to meet him. :) I've never did this on my own before, are you sure you don't have any ideas of what you'd like to do?

Lauri, Elaine's husband has the most steamy, gorgeous latin eyes, truly ;)

I don't care where we have the meet. I'm sure that I can be there for a Saturday--not sure yet if I could stay for Sunday. I'll let you know.

I have no preference for where we should hold the meet. Just so it is a place where we can talk and talk and talk. I'm serious :teeth: I love spending time with DISers and getting to know them better.

Looking forward to it, Laurie!!!!!

How about an early dinner at Applebee's?

I know three that's really easy to find, two of them are really close to highways, the other is just an easy drive.
I love their food and we could sit and talk for hours. I know, I've done it before with other friends. lol

One near a shopping center, one in a nice mall, another one near another mall.

We could do something before or afterwards if anyone wants too. Just please let me know. lol

Katholyn, were you flirting with coqui??? (if that's spelled right)lol

I'm looking forward to it too Dan. :)

Kath, I will have to show Luis what you said there... I'm sure he will be flattered. If he comes, he'll have to roll some Rs for you again too ;)

I think I like the idea of a mall or the zoo the best. Malls are weather safe (so to speak) and zoos are fun. I usually let others decide the place ;)

I might be up in Indy around this time. The zoo sounds good. We can ride the roller coaster there! :)

Serena

How about this?
We can plan for the zoo say about noon or so, for everyone who would like to go to the zoo. Then we can go to the restaurant before it gets packed, maybe about 5or 6? That way we should have plenty of room.
We can have a back up plan if it decides to rain. Or we can just play in the rain, there are buildings to visit. lol

LOL, hey Barry, that's a roller coaster even I have ridden. I'm afraid you would probably laugh yourself silly at it. It'll be great to see you. Even if you do get a cramp from laughing. lol
Yes, for anyone interested in the roller coaster at the zoo, be prepared, it's great for wusses like me. :p :teeth:

I think I shall videotape Serena riding the roller coaster. :) Anyway, are we meeting at someone's house too? We can show the DIS Con 2 video.

Serena
04-26-2003, 09:35 PM
I think I shall break a camera. :teeth:

Someone's house? I'll have to think about that. I would love to, but at someone else's house. lol

WebmasterBarry

So who has a house in Indianapolis?

Dodie

Another restaurant option, since we're meeting at the zoo, would be the Friday's that's just a couple of blocks away (toward downtown). They probably don't take reservations, but maybe we could give them a warning call that a bunch of people would be descending on the place at 4:00 p.m. or so. (I don't think it would take anyone 5-6 hours to see the zoo - even though it is an AWESOME zoo!)

Serena

Dodie, the only thing I was thinking is that after the zoo people may want to freshen up, if it's a really hot day.
And I've never been to Friday's, it's fine with me, but what's it like?

Hey guys, I have a house, just 10 minutes away from the zoo. But it's not pretty, and it's not big enough and I would go absolutely insane trying to get it ready enough to have you guys come over.

I will if I have to, but if someone else would agree to have everyone come to their house, I'd really appreciate it. lol
Don't forget I have a big hairy dog that wants her belly rubbed by everyone that walks in the door.

TGI Friday's is a lot like Applebees decor and menu-wise.

I understand your point about freshening up - but I wonder how many people would actually do that - especially those who aren't staying over until Sunday.

Whatever YOU decide, I am game for.

If I travel solo I will most likely go see parents in MI. So I will probably be around for at least part of Sun.

Hey, I just found this thread. I am on my lunch hour and do not have time to read it all. Can someone tell me in a quick post the particulars? I will try and read and respond when I get home. I live just south of Indy, between Indy and Cinn...smjj

I am going to separate these meets to go along with the program. I think it'll be easier too. :) Look for the changes soon.

Just to throw something out, there will probably be a few of us who won't have a place to freshen up between zoo and dinner. So when we plan on when and where, you might want to keep that in mind as well.
