I have all of the information on Grand Floridian Spa and even mad a reservation. then someone suggested Saratoga Spa. I called there and asked them to email me the info but time after time it wouldn't work. I would like opinions on Grand Floridian and Saratoga Spa (location, options available, facility, transportation customer relations, and prices). Which do you think 2 teenage girls would prefer. Are there options for children or teens? Thanks:D

The saratoga spa is the old Disney Institute spa. Although it is nice, my DW and I have had problems with them in the past. One time they overbooked for massages and mine got cancelled. Well did'nt find out till we were at the spa. But that was only once, all other times it was just fine. This trip we are trying the GF spa. I will post a report when we get back.

I would be so upset if I had made a reservation and they over booked. Hopefully they made it up to you! Let me know how it goes at GF.:D

I found this link on Deb's site...

http://wdwig.com/spa.htm

It has the prices and services on it. I also have the PDF files Saratoga Springs sent me (the prices on that list seem to be about $5 higher, at least for the massages). PM me if you want me to send you a copy :)

Thanks. I didn't think to look for DI.

This topic comes up quite often and I usually reply (check the search function for more info) with a preference for the Di Spa...now the Saratoga. I have been there at least a half dozen times for various treatments and always have had a very positive experience. Now I would not feel so strongly positive if I had an experience like SAKPEG99OKW. My one time at the Gf spa was very lackluster, lots of unprofessional behavior from the receptionist down to the spa technician. And I also prefer the layout of the facility at Saratoga Spa. Since we are staying at the GF next spring for our "grand" adventure we definately will try GF again and hope that our very bland first experience there was an isolated one. Many people on these boards have had great times there. Prices are a little less at the Saratoga than GF, and supposedly if you are staying at a Disney resort they will provide a taxi for you to either spa. I think I read this on the transportation board here on the Dis....I have done this a couple of times at the World but thought it was stopped so.... not sure about this. Hope this helps.....you will love whatever you choose!!!

All I can say is we loved it! The staff was very friendly. There is some constuction on the outside but it doens't bother you in any way. The spa was very nicely decorated. We were treated very professionally. Our services were done to perfection and we left feeling like a million bucks and spending less than I had at GF spa on an earlier trip. I say if in doubt try it, you'll love it!;)

Disneypal, Thanks for reporting back to us!! It sounds like you had a wonderful time!! What did you have for a treatment? Also I see you stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, my very favorite place at WDW!! Would you fill me in with your experience there, just for a little magical wishful moment to tide me over til next spring? Where was your room? View? Anything special this trip? Would just love to hear whatever you have to say!! Thanks again!

Our room was in the courtyard at the Boardwalk Inn. The number escapes me right now but it was 30 something that was an even number (want to say 3020). Our entire stay is in trip reports if you would like to hear all of the details. Hope you enjoy it!

Glad to hear you enjoyed your trip to SS Spa Disneypal. I did the Bed of Roses package at the end of March and loved it!

I did use the free transportation. I was given a voucher for the cab.
