Love bugs?

Geez I can't believe I can't recall what time of yr love bug season is! I use to be a fl resident many moons ago but all I can recall is it was sometime in the spring then a lighter case of them in the fall. Can anyone help me out with this?

We were there 2 weeks ago, and the morning news was doing stories on Love Bugs and the damage they do to your car. They had an "on-the-scene" reporter at a car wash asking the washer-man the best way to wipe the Love Bugs off your car. Aparently soapy water and a sponge does the trick. Gee. Are there people who can't figure that our without the local news telling them?

We've seen the love bugs on our trips in mid-May attached to the monorail windows. My DD7 loves them. She calls them "Catdog" since they have heads at both ends. Thankfully, she hasn't asked me why.............;)

Well those little bugs can reak some havic on your paint job. I know that personally. It is very important to wash them off ASAP.

I think they last about a mth. So I guess we will not have to be concerned about them in late May.
