We just bought into a timeshare and I feel uneasy about it. Our sales rep keeps saying when we call interval we will get a Marriot destinated rep. So, I am saying like SO what does that mean. I borrowed a friend's interval account just to see what the site was like and I did a search for property in Hawaii vs. Orlando. It showed like 50 Orlando properties to choose from but no Hawaii ones at all. I even did different dates. My friend has a Shell Resort. The rep won't exactly come out say whether Marriot would have priority over Shell customers. Does anyone have experience with this interval and how it works? Do certain guests have better chances of getting resorts of their choice? We both own 5 star resorts. Any advice would be great!
TIA!

Go to www.tug2.net You will find a wealth of info on timesharing and also a message board similiar to this one, but just for timesharing. I have learned so much from Tug. There is a board for exchanging, Marriotts, and even one with a representative from Interval to answer questions. I have been a member for a number of years, and it is worth the money. You can read the message board without joining, but you will have to become a member to read the reviews on the resorts. It is only $15 for the first year and $10 each year after that.

Thanks Becky! That is an awesome site! Thank you... thank you....

Remember that the truly desireable stuff will likely NOT be sitting there when you call. Be prepared to start an ongoing search and plan at least 12 months out.
