If you’re new to chat or not so new, and you would like to learn more about using the chat room why don’t you join <b> Beanie and nativetxn</b> in the Main lobby of chat Thursday evening at 8:00PM <i>est</i> for an Instructional Chat.
We’ll be there to introduce you to using the emotes, sending private messages and using bold and italics in chat. It’s a lot of fun so we hope you can join us.
You will find a link to the chat room if you go to the DIS homepage and click on the top of the page that says <b>Forums/Chat</b>, <i><b>Or</i></b>...you can just <b>CLICK HERE</b> (http://198.65.141.55/chat/world/html/login.html)
On your first visit to the chat room you will have to create a user name and password and choose which chat program you want to use. I believe that Ichat is the easiest and most fun program to use for DIS chat. You can download it free from the log-in page. Just scroll down the page and you will find some helpful instructions for downloading Ichat. The Ichat works best if you are using the newest version of Internet Explorer browser. You will find the download site for Internet Explorer, if you <b>CLICK HERE</b> (http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/). Both of these programs are free downloads.
Now, don’t be shy. Chat is a lot of fun and it’s easy but it helps if you know the ropes when you attend a regularly scheduled chat, so join us Thursday evening and learn all the secrets of the chat room :) If you have any questions feel free to email any of the chat hosts and we’ll do our very best to answer them.
