Ebates Question

I am new to Ebates and couldn't find an easy answer to this question so thought I would ask here. :) Do you get credit for purchases made with gift cards? I was thinking I could buy the gift cards through Creationsrewards at Giftcertificates.com and then make my purchases through Ebates. Almost like "double dipping" Can I do that??

Well, all I can tell you is that I have used LLBean coupons (that I've earned with my LLBean Visa) for orders placed through eBates, and I still got credited for the order. 'Course LLBean orders are a flat "$2 per order" reward, so I don't know how the "% of order total" ones would work. And since I get free shipping from LLBean with my LLBean Visa, I ordered each item as a separate order, and got $2 for each order.

Do gift certificates qualify for a discount?

Nope. Ebates can't give discounts for the portion of a purchase that is made with gift cards or certificates. Nor can we give discounts for the purchase of gift certificates or gift cards, with the exception of those purchased at Spa Wish and GiveAnything.

So, I my guess would be that you'll only get credit for that part of your purchase that you pay for with a debit or credit card.
