I love entering online contests and have had some small wins. Just wondering what everyone else has won. Not cashed in for, but won in a contest.
I have won:
Kobe Bryant basketball shoes from Nutella (can't use them-ha ha!)
$25 Pier One Gift Cert from the old IWIN
Coffee from Dunkin Donuts
Scooby Snacks and a Scooby Super Ball from ETonline
AdventurerKat

Hmmmm...let me think. I don't know if I'll remember everything.
$3,600 in free groceries (really a check, that paid for part of our WDW trip last year!)
Portable Bassinet (which I don't need, at least not now)
People Magazine game
3--Hanes Tagless T-Shirts
Free PopCorn
Lime TicTacs ;)
Lee Clothing that I never claimed (it wasn't clear how to claim it, and I never wrote back to ask)
Don't know exactly, but about $10-$13 from surveys (not earned for surveys, but won in drawings)
Martha Stewart Luggage Set (valued at $750 and possibly bonus prizes worth $500--still waiting to receive the luggage; just mailed the affadavit on Saturday)
Oh, and DS won a Lilo & Stitck PlayStation Game.
I think that's everything.
I've been entering many things daily for about a year and a half. I probably enter about 60 or 70 every day. I just counted them up. Didn't realize I was doing that many! LOL! And that's just the dailies. There's a few more weeklies and monthlies.
I know this has probably been asked before but what sites do you go to in order to get the info on all these contests?

I get most of them from the Contest thread at the top of this board. I think the others I do have been from newsletters I receive (from a specific merchant, not a sweeps newsletter), but most of those are listed here, too. Then there's the Sunday coupon section in the newspaper.
There was a link posted for a site (online-sweepstakes.com?) but there were so many, I didn't want to add to my huge list. But I think a few people from here went through and picked out some from "reputable" merchants.

I won a Logitech Wireless Mouse and Keyboard from Logitech.com. I really love this prize!! I use it everday!!
I have to use a corded mouse at work and it makes me know what a great thing it is to be cordless!! I can move the keyboard anywhere to use it!! It is so nice not to have roller ball problems everytime you need the mouse. I knew there had to be a better way!!

Thanks everybody! I haven't won anything for quite a while (although I've been feeling lucky for some reason), and hearing about others' wins keeps me motivated.
Congratulations to all the winners. Here's hoping that we all hit a "big one" soon.

Oh, that reminds me. I got a cordless mouse from Subaru for being one of the first some many to fill out a survey or something like that.
I like mine a lot, too. But, boy, does it suck down the AAA batteries!

I go through spurts where I'll enter a lot of contests every day, then I'll get burned out and won't enter any for a couple months. Right now I'm on a roll and I've been entering every day for a while and I'm hoping to hear some good news soon for all my hard work!
So far I've only won 2 things:
A set of b-b-q tools from Hormel (really nice, stainless steel ones with the long handles probably worth at least $75)
A PlayStation II game just recently from Kellogg's (haven't received it yet though)

I enter, but do not win. It is my special gift. My Dh won the $50 sweepstake at RewardTV the other day though, that was exciting.
My all time contest hero is my Aunt Doris. She has the gift. She and her husband have been on trips to South America, Europe, won a nice van, and get a package at least once a week with prizes from contests she has won. Her big motto is you can't win if you don't enter! She also is a bigger believer in local contests than national or online as she thinks the odds are better.

Last year I won about 100 Chew The Clue Candy bars.
I'm still giving them away!
Jennifer -- maybe your Aunt Doris would like to share some of her luck??:D

Candy bars. Oh, yeah.
I won I think over 40 Resses Fast Break Candy Bars last year. They were coupons. I used a few myself, and then gave the rest out with Halloween treats!

Also, my husband won a Basketball jersey from a bottle cap on a Mountain Dew bottle the other day. I hope this roll continues...

In the last few years I've won quite a few smallish prizes from entering online sweepstakes and contests. These are the ones that come to mind:
$200 worth of M&Ms merchandise (M&Ms recipe contest)
$125 gift card from Olive Garden
Large assortment of Ziploc products, Grinch soundtrack & book (from a Ziploc/Grinch promotion)
Harry Potter striped knitted scarf (really tacky -- I was trying to win a Harry Potter trip to England)
3 Hanes Tagless t-shirts
Pair of cheapo 7-up boxer shorts (made excellent dust cloth)
Lot of free candy: Fastbreak bars, Skittles/Starburst, M&Ms
Free coupon for Act II popcorn
Now if I could just win the BIG stuff, like the free trips! :D

Not that I'm complaining.....but I didn't realize when I picked the most expensive trip ($9,000) that I would receive a 1099 & pay taxes.
Although I know its a trip of a lifetime - I may have picked one of the other trips that were all had a value between $2500 - $4500.But once I heard Disneyland tickets were included my mind blocked all logic & reason to go anywhere else.
That said I do think twice when I signup for sweepstakes now.
(i guess i am whining!):(

I forget what the cut-off is ($250? Anyone know?), but anything over whatever that amount is and you're paying taxes. I had to pay taxes on my $3600 "free" groceries. And I'll have to pay taxes on my Martha Stewart merchandise. I haven't had to pay on anything else I've won yet.
But, hey, if I win $100,000 or $1,000,000, I'll be more than happy to pay some taxes on it.
If they're asking you to sign an affidavit with your SSN on it, chances are you're paying taxes and that's why they want the info.

the cut off if $600. I'm way over. Yes, Buena Vista Studios sent a bunch of legal paperwork for me to sign & send back. It also stated I would receive a 1099 and I had to give them my SS#.
Believe me I'm thrilled with the prize. Right now i'm planning our trip so i'll deal with the tax issue next year. at least i have some time i was afraid it was going to be mailed for 2002 tax.

Just one thing to watch out for is to not claim anything until they DO send you the 1099. The free groceries I won was in November of 2001. So we should claim it on our 2001 taxes, right? Which we did, but without receiving the 1099. We figured we were doing the right thing. DLBlair (the company responsible for the paperwork) didn't send us a 1099 until *this* year, for the 2002 tax year. It took many calls between them and the IRS to get things straightened out. It was DLBlair's mistake, but they didn't want to fill out the necessary paperwork to get it into our 2001 tax year. Honestly I can't remember how things were worked out, because DH handled most of the calls. I'm not trying to avoid taxes, certainly, but in the future I'm not going to claim anything until I have that 1099 in my hands. Or I guess now I know to call them if I don't receive one for the right tax year and request one so that I can do my taxes.

Thanks for advice. I didn't receive the paperwork until this year (I had won in Oct.2002 so maybe that's why it was delayed. Who knows!
