Just wondering if any of you have ever tipped the receptionist in an effort to try and get a room upgrade. We will be there from Sun 8/17 - Thur 8/21 and have a garden view room reserved at the entertainment rate. I am also a Loews card holder.

I was thinking of offering a $20 tip for an upgrade to Pool View and maybe an additional $20 for an even better upgrade.

Anyone ever try it or have an opinion on how I might make out?

If you're a Loew's member they'll upgrade you to the pool for free if they have it available.

I have a Loews card also so I tried to get an upgrade at the RPR last week. They put my dates in the system and told me that it was accepting the first two days but not the last two so it wouldn't allow it. The Loews First check in lady was very apologetic and kind about it.

I do believe they try to do the best they can to give you an upgrade if it's available. Offering the money may be an underlying statement that they are not. Who knows, JMHO.
