Was anyone else asked for more information by mail? The information they asked for was copy of SS# card, utility bills, etc. I thought this was some kind of a scam & called. I was told that my card had been approved already & should be on its way. I was then transferred on the phone to another department that told me without a copy of my social security card & bills I wouldn't get a visa. I told them to keep the card that I have others. I then recieved a Disney visa card in the mail. Is this some sort of scam or does the right hand not know what the left is doing? Anyone else have similar problems?

I think that this is exactly the problem.
We have seen a number of people post the same story as you momejay. People get letters in the mail saying that need to send in additional information -SS#, utility bills (WHY???), etc. They then decide to forget the card. Then they receive the card in the mail. CRAZY!
We got our card and then received another in the mail a week later telling us to destroy the first one that we got because it did not have "Charter Member" under our names.
On a separate but related note, I used our card to book the room and airfare for our August trip. So we are almost ready to get our first "Reward!" Yippee! :)

I read where a lot of people were asked the same thing a couple of weeks ago I think on this board somewhere, most people told Bank One to keep their credit card. Me and DH applied for the Bank One Visa card and both of use were turned down I guess, never heard from them but I do know they received both app's but never sent out a rejection letter or anything and it's been well over 6 weeks. That's ok because on Saturday we received the Universal Visa from Chase bank. Guess who will be benefitting from our money on vacation? Some other people were complaining that they were turned down even though they have great credit. Sounds to me like Disney is missing out on some business, I know our family will be benefitting from the Universal Visa - sorry Disney!! (and I've been such a loyal Disney addict until now)
