We will be staying onsite at the HRH in late August. I'm wondering what restaurants are in the area if we decide to venture out of the resort. We will be there 8 days and I'm thinking we will need to find some variety in the surrounding area.
I have a VERY picky 8 yr old and a 14 yr old who will eat ANYTHING...lol.
Anyone have some ideas?

International Drive near Universal seems to have every restaurant franchise in existence. Drive up and down the strip and you'll probably find something you like. Also, Orlando has numerous buffets, so your kids can pick and choose what they want from the spread.

Tigger&Belle - I just noticed you leave in 2 days!! How exciting! :D
Make sure you do a trip report when you get back! I'm dying to hear everything! (Well, maybe not everything )! ;)

Nicole, You could probably hear about every detail of our trip and not get embarrassed... ;) since my sister and brother-in-law are meeting us down there and there will be us four adults and my 4 kids (ages 3-15) all sharing two rooms. Oh, well, we'll have a blast. Whenever my 9yo walks in the door from school he always announces how many days before we leave and then asks me what the countdown timer says. The two of us are so excited we can hardly stand it. Of course I have so many things to do and am dreading a 14 hour car ride, but it will be worth it! Yes, I'll try to do a trip report--I've never done one and will try to keep some notes when we are there.

LOL! My kids are already asking me how many days until our trip and we're not going until November! I tell them I can't count that high.
Well, have a great & safe trip even if you do have to share a room! ;) I can't wait to hear about it when you get back.

Thanks, Nicole! Reality is setting in and I'm not packed up yet. Yikes, I'd better get busy while my 3yo is still asleep.
