Hey, WISHers!!!!

Who's exercising? Who wishes they were exercising? Who thinks exercise is a four letter word? ;) Post an update here and let us know how you are doing. Spread some inspiration! Seek some motivation! Tell us what's new in your fitness life. Share results! Has exercise helped you lose weight? Tone your body? Allowed you to sleep better? Were you an exercise "hater" who is now an exercise "lover"?

Still doing our power walks here! Wanted to try to my pilates tape thanks to the thread geetey started, but conveniently have to put it off for a few days while my *friend* is in town, ha ha! ;)

However, I DID dust off those free weights yesterday and I worked my biceps! I plan to work my back later today. Hopefully this is a new habit and I'll continue to incorporate weight training into my daily life.

I've noticed since I started WW that my arms are not so flabby! So this inspired me to speed things up through weight training.

I also noticed my belly is much smaller and I have actually been HAVING THE URGE to do crunches! D'OH!!!

Always love the walking we do, and now my calves and thighs are showing much more definition.

I am an exercise LOVER!!!! :) Ok, now your turn to post!!!

I'm still doing my Leslie Sansone tapes. Woke up this morning and did the 2 mile walk with the ab belt. :)
Also did the Torso Track this morning.

I was an exercise hater, but am turning into an exercise lover. :teeth:

I've lost 2 inches off my waist so far, too, from exercise.

I plan to do my Pilates tape at the very least today. I haven't been to good about exercising the past week, since my stationary bike broke. With my little ones, bad weather, and no convenient place to walk it's hard. I love to walk ~ never been a runner. Hopefully we'll get some sun to dry some of this mud up so we can all play outside!

Tigh - I noticed our stats are exactly the same! How tall are you? My mini-goal is 145 by May 31, but i'd love to get to 140 again. I'm also doing WW :) almost spooky:p

anyhow - i've been a pretty chronic exerciser for the past 8 yrs. My weight has fluctuated and eventually risen since I started, but I also had a baby in that time frame. I like to get my BF tested and use that as a tool for how in shape I am or not! Last time I tested I was in the high 20s - I aim for the low 20s.

At this point - my goal is to do something 4 times a week - that includes - brisk walk of the dog (30-40 mins), jogging 2 miles (hoping to work up to 3.5); yoga, FIRM video, or a workout at the Y (30 mins cardio/ 15-20 mins weights)

So far this week I've completed 3 workouts already!! I knew I couldn't on friday, and I think I'm taking today off as I have some sore muscles! I may do a light toning video I have though, we'll see how the morning plays out.

I get frustrated b/c I can really "feel" my abs when I do crunches, but they are still buried!!

I do notice this morning that my thighs weren't touching and rubbing as much - sorry if that sounded gross! I would love to stand straight and tall and have non-touching thighs!!!

I'm not an exercise lover - but I love the stress-reducing effects of it. I ALWAYS feel better after I do it! I ALWAYS feel better about myself when I'm consistent with exercising. I know that I'll ALWAYS have to exercise, it's not a quick fix - but a lifestyle committment.

I've been doing very light weights 10 - 15 pounds on the Bowflex, and then walking 2 miles on the treadmill. I alternate days. I used to walk 3 miles, but I'm getting tired at 2 for some reason? Maybe my body is still in sugar/carb withdrawal. Still 2 is better than none!

dizneenut - (insert evil laugh here, something like "mu ha ha ha ha") AN EXERCISE CONVERT! Woo-hoo! Sounds to me like you are getting hooked on exercise. 2 inches from your waist is AWESOME!!! What is the torso track? I'm glad you like your WATP tape! Thanks for checking in!

Luckymommyx2 - Rain here too! I'm sending you lots of "dry weather to go out and play" pixie dust! ~*~*~*~*~*~*~ And also some magic stationary bike fixing pixie dust! ha ha! Hang in there - and do that pilates tape today if you can find the time. :) You know you'll feel great! Thanks for checking in!

ohMom - my twin sister, eh? ;) I'm 5' 8" and my first goal is to get to 145 by the end of May!!! :) After that I will try for 140 and maybe even (shudder!) 135, depending on how clothes are fitting and all that jazz! You didn't gross me out about the thigh thing! I have noticed that mine aren't doing that so much lately either. The pants I wear for walking are those tight fitting biker type pants and the material between my thighs is getting worn (is that gross?) so I am happy they are getting smaller! I need to buy new walking pants though! ;) You sound like you are on top of things as far as exercise goes! Keep up the great work and thanks for checking in. Hope we reach our goals together!!!! :)

Lynn CC - we must have posted at the same time! :) Your darn right that 2 is better than none!!! I hope you get your energy back and can get back to 3 miles soon. If you don't get that energy back soon, talk to your Dr. Might be an iron deficiancy? How do you like the bowflex? Everyone on those commercials is so BUFF!!! :) Keep up the great work and thanks for checking in!!!

Contrary to popular belief (TigH)..exercise is a four letter word, but it is one I have to do. I wake up 5 days a week at 4:30 to do my exercises, only time I can sneak it in. I start with crunches for 20 minutes, which is about 300 or so. Then I do the WATP two mile with ankle weights and now 5 lbs hand weights. Then I do weights on two body parts, either the shoulders and chest, or back and Abs...etc.

I also take walks at school. I do between 2 and three miles in the school gym a day at a pace of about 4 mph. :)

You would think I would be thin as a rail though, but I will take the inches :)

I have done some excercise everyday in April so far!! Somedays I walk 2-3 miles, some days I do a Lelsie Sansone Dvd, SOmedays it is crunches and leg lifts and weights, and somedays (like the last 2) I just walk while I am watching TV with my wieghts then after about a mile I switch to the 5 pound hand weights and do some arm stuff then crunches and leg stuff!!

glo, I need to start waking up earlier and doing my exercise too. With homeschool, running the kids around to various activities, etc. it's easy to put it off. Besides I've already planned on waking up early during my cruise to watch the sun rise as I walk laps around the deck! It's a good way to start off the day!

TigH...good morning! Thanks for the pixie dust! I think I'm going to add a countdown clock just for days left until we see the sun again! My bike is broke beyond repair so now I have to dust off my treadmill and get the belt replaced. Not a good time for everything to be on the blitz.

I'm so proud of myself!!! :p I've been doing my pilates consistently for 5 weeks now!! At least 5 or six times a week. In addition, I've been alternating treadmill and the elliptical trainer 4 or 5 times a week. I'm really beginning to feel burnt out though so I'm trying to think of some things to do to spice things up a bit but still keep a routine going! My first thoughts are jumprope and some outside walking but those will have to wait - dang snow!!

I also really got to start doing the advanced pilates tapes more often. I love doing the treadmill/elliptical workout but the advanced pilates really knocks me down so I'm less inspired to do them. I strive for at least 3 times a week but I dread it!

Still exercising 5 times a week. Three days of 15 minute abs and 15-20 minute weights. Two days of cardio work, usually 4 mile walk outside. I always take the stairs at work and take a morning break to walk an extra 7 flights. I do abs every work morning before getting ready for work. I enjoy working out!!!!

Fellow exercize nut here. I've been doing at least an hour a day vigorous exercize. I try to vary my workout, but I must admit, for the time spent working out, the elliptical trainer is my favorite. It shows me how I'm doing, and I sleep much better knowing that my dinner calories are usually free! I also do heavy hands while I'm watching the nightly news (Goodby flabby arms!), and yoga if I feel like I've been focusing too much on calorie burning. I do exercize every day. It keeps me focused, and I want my kids to see that I value fitness enough to make time for it every day. In fact, I'm picking them up from school today, so we can all go to the Y!:Pinkbounc
I'm glad to see so many replys to this post. Keep up the good work!

I've been doing the W.A.T.P. DVD's. I really like them. I skipped yesterday, but hope to at least get a short one in today. We're in revival right now and after working all day and going to church at night, it's hard to work the exercise in. I've been pleased that I made it everyday but yesterday though. :)

Keep up the good work everyone.

Well I am not up to the level of some of you but I am trying to walk on my treadmill every other day for about 30 minutes (I did start at 20 but I am working my way up). I am really out of shape again so I am having to take it slow for now. My back is starting to feel better so I need to start adding in sit-ups and leg lifts, etc.

I used to walk on the treadmill every other day and then try to do 2 other days of non-treadmill 'fun' exercise. DH and I would play tennis at least once a week (during good weather it was often 2-3 times a week) and once a week we would go roller skating during the rink's adult only skate. Now that we have DS the tennis and skating are out and I think I am really going to miss them and I will have to figure out a way to replace that exercise with more treadmill. I don't like aerobic tapes and I don't want to pay the gym fees for aerobics classes there. No one else I know plays tennis except for DH and I don't know of any other way to find a tennis partner. :(

You have motivated me to go downstairs and use that elliptical today, too. Thank you!

Still exercising here, at least 3 if not 4 days a week. I spend usually work out for 40 minutes each day, sometimes I go a little longer, but I am slowly working my way up. I split my time between the elliptical and the Life Cycle. On off days I try to lift light weights for my arms and on ocassion I have been known to do situps, but haven't done any lately.

Before starting WISH I was lucky if I made it to the gym 1-2 times a week, so for me to go 3-4 times a week faithfully is a big accomplishment.

Still excercising here. Going three times a week would like to try four days but have too much going on right now. Plus I am waiting for my Winsor Pilates tapes to come in so I can do those on the days I don't go to Curves.

Coming daily to read the W.I.S.H. boards is keeping me motivated to keep excercising.

Keep up the great work everyone.

Glo - You never cease to amaze me! I can't even begin to fathom getting up at 4:30, let alone doing it just to fit in some exercise! That is some major DETERMINATION!!!! Ok, new name for you, you are "The Determinator" and your mission is to destroy fat and build muscle! ;) If you ask me, the name truly fits becuase every time your post your measurements there is less of you to account for! And the .5 pound weight loss means you are replacing fat with muscle!!! Thanks for checking in!

Holly - Exercising every day in April so far is EXCELLENT! I think you are turning into an "exercise junkie" ;) That's a good thing! You are getting your body addicted to all that extra oxygen! :) You have got to be so proud of yourself for doing something every day!!!! Thanks for checking in!

CrzyforPiglet - I'm proud of you too!!! WOO-HOO!!!! Now I am REALLY going to try my pilates tapes again (next week, really!) :) I am sending major "warmer weather so the snow melts" pixie dust so you can burn up some jump rope really quick! I don't want you to get burned out on any of your exercise routines. And I hear that changing routines keeps your body challenged so you continue to burn loads of calories!!!! Good for you and thanks for checking in!!!

Believe - I know you did some major biking and hiking over the weekend! I got tired just reading about it in Shep's post! ;) I'm so glad that you enjoy working out!!! You are really an inspiration to all of us still working our way to our goals!!! I'm glad you continue to post to WISH and that we can share in your success! Thanks for showing us that the exercise and healthy eating doesn't stop when you get to goal!!!! And thanks for checking in! :)

Tracy - what the heck does your username mean anyway? ;) ha ha! And what are heavy hands? Some type of resistance training, I suspect! An hour a day? WOW!!! I have to work up to that! You are setting a great example for your kids! And I love yoga - I need to dust those tapes off too. It's such a great way to unwind and relax. Thanks for reminding me that I enjoy it! You are definitely someone who LOVES to exercise! Thanks for checking in!!!

TCKK - GOOD FOR YOU! Fitting in exercise with a busy schedule is a feat in itself! That is excellent! I'm glad you have been able to find a way to manage the WATP workouts with everything else you are doing. You should be very proud of yourself! Hope that things settle down soon! Thanks for checking in!!!!

Becka - You are doing so GREAT!!! Especially with having to make sure you don't reinjure your back! If I were in your shoes, I know I would be using that as an excuse to not workout, so I give you a big round of applause for hopping on that treadmill!!!! And you gotta start somewhere! Walking for 20 minutes a day is a great start, and soon it will be 30 minutes and you'll be talking about kicking that up too! :) Just don't overdo it too soon with your back! We want you 100% healthy!!! :) Sending pixie dust for some tennis time! Sounds like you really miss that! I'm sure once Nathan is a little older, you guys will go to the kid skates instead of the adult skates!!! He will really enjoy that! :) Thanks for checking ing!

Kath - I hope you used the elliptical yesterday! :) I'm glad you checked in with us! You'll see, one of these days exercise will be something you really look forward to! I am so proud of you! You really have stuck by Atkins and you had a great Woooosh week and you are always lending so much encouragement and support to people. Heck, with the amount of posts I see with your name next to them every day, I am sure you have got to be burning some major typing calories!!!!!!! :) And it take energy to keep your attitude so gloriously positive and to think of all the nice things you say to everyone! Keep up the great work and thanks for checking in!

Debbi - WOO-HOO!!!! I think you are an official gym rat (that's a good thing!) ;) You have tons of my respect. I am not a gym person and I felt so self conscious when I used to belong to one. I am really proud of you for making the time and effort to go there to workout 3-4 times a week! Surely your exercise routine has helped in your fantastic weight loss! Reading your posts keeps me motivated! Thanks for the inspiration and friendship and thanks for checking in! :)

Cindy - Sending pixie dust your way to open up your schedule so you can fit in that extra day at Curves!!! I hope your WP tapes come soon too! Until then, just hop in your car and come to my house and we'll do them together! :) Glad you are committed to exercise and that you used a SMILEY in your post (that means you are an exercise lover, right?) Keep up the great work and thanks for checking in!

WOW, we have a bunch of people exercising! I hope more people check-in! I know Tammy is at IOA now, probably walking ALOT to try to keep warm (cool front blew in over night and it's CHILLY here in Florida!) If you were exercising and then kind of fell off the wagon, remember it's never too late to start again! If you've read all these posts, you'll see that there is no rule about exercise - just get out and get moving! Walk while you watch TV, take the stairs, park further away from your destination, ride a bike, play frisbee with your dog, put the kids in the stroller and go to the park, join Curves, join a gym, get some great DVDs or videos for walking, pilates, yoga, aerobics, weight training (the firm), etc. Once you DO SOMETHING for yourself, you'll feel better and you'll be more likely to get up and do it again!!!

Good luck everyone and keep up the great work!!!!

Yup! I do love to exercise. I get really creepy when I don’t. Maybe it’s not the exercising per se, but the benefits that I really love. I miss it when I don’t do it, and I don’t like things getting in the way of it. (Control issues!) I’m feeling a bit frustrated about the whole affair lately, though. DH has been reluctantly supportive, and at a time when I’m trying to stay committed, I think he’s getting ready to have me committed! Maybe when his back is better, I won’t feel like I’m pushing my unwanted advice and values upon him. (He is quick to point out that that is the way I feel, not the way he feels.)

Great thread, TigH! Those pilates tapes will still be waiting for you in a week. I can understand why you are waiting for your 'friend' to leave. ;)

I was told yesterday that I am  obsessed:crazy: about walking 2 miles with my WATP tapes everyday! WOO HOO!! What a great thing to be told! Finally, I am doing this for ME and not anyone else and that is making a huge difference in my dedication. I always have time to exercise now. :teeth:

My exercise plan is to do my WATP as early in the day as possible (before eating if I can), and the pilates 20 minute workout tape before getting ready for bed. I am assuming it is okay to do pilates more than 3x a week.

WISH keeps me motivated and I hope everyone is still here while I work towards my goal!

Urgh!!! sorry to be on a downer but I hate exercise!!!! Even when I was a size 6 I never exercised. I used to go out dancing most nights tho!! All night raves 3 times a week sure kept me skinny - proably explains why i put the weight on once i settled down and had the kids.

Seriously tho, I always walk Zach to school, even in the rain, and as it's over a mile away, means I get a good 4 miles in daily, plus I walk to the town centre to do the shopping and to playschool for Danny - helps not being a driver - if I ever learnt to drive I'd probably be way over 300lbs!!

I have dug out some old tapes and started doing them again just to get rid of the wobbly bits in the nether regions although I think the skin well may take a few years to spring back and i won't even mention stretch marks!

I managed to get in my Pilates tape this morning. I was aiming for an hour but at least I got something in. I'm going to try to do more after lunch. I was up a lot last night between the cat and being a little anxious getting my MRI done tonight. What I wouldn't give for just a little sun right now!!

Yaaay, Kath! :) I really hope one day I will see a post with your name next to it and the title will say, "I'm an exercise lover" or something similar! :) Keep up the great work!

geetey - I think I would consider that a compliment as well! :) Nothing wrong with being a little obsessed with exercise. Better than being called a couch potato! ;) I hope it's ok to do pilates more than 3x a week, although it will be a while before I work up to that! ha ha! Good for you! You sound extremely motivated! Keep up the great work!

dizneenut - THAT LOOKS LIKE A TORTURE DEVICE!!!   Yeah, now I remember what that is! UGH! And you voluntarily do that? WOW! You must have some VERY strong abs!!!! ;)

Elise - I think walking is the national pasttime over there, isn't it? ;) We will be in Sheffield at the end of May and we are looking forward to all the walking we'll be doing! 4 miles a day is GREAT! Moving is moving, so you are doing great! I just love the way you write - wobbly bits in the nether regions! I vote you funniest WISHer! You are not allowed to stop posting here, ever! I really enjoy your wit!

disneychrista - ALLLLLRIGHT!!!!! You are racking up the walking miles! That is excellent! 15-21 miles a week, that is really going to add up over the weeks and months and years! Good for you!

Luckymommyx2 - I'm sending you ALLLL the pixie dust I can find for your MRI tonight! Try to relax! All is well! :) The sun is still shining, even if it's blocked by the clouds for now. It will come out soon! :) I promise!!! Hang in there! I might even do my pilates tape today (eeek!) ;)

Well, thanks to all the WISHers who post about their strength training routines, I have worked out my biceps, triceps and back so far this week and I plan to do some squats today to work the legs! :) WOO HOO! I feel like I am back in the game! It took me over a month of talking about it, but I am back into my hand-weights routine and I LOVE it!!!! Whodda thunk I'd be feeling a big difference in my back? Even before I worked my back out this week, I noticed that it feels "thinner" back there! :) I was trying to reach an itchy spot and I thought, "Gee my back doesn't feel fat at all anymore, I can feel muscle under there!" So that was part of the motivation to get the weights back out!

Everyone have a great weekend!!! Keep working out!

Well, I'm pretty new at this (bad four-letter word coming---exercise ) thing, but I'm trying!

I joined Curves in October and I go 3-5, and sometimes 6 times a week.

I bought the Leslie Sansone 1 mile WATP tape 2 weeks ago and have been doing it 3-5 times a week also. I'm hoping to soon move up to the 2 mile one. GLO, YOU DO IT WITH WEIGHTS ON YOUR ANKLES???? There are times (yes, still on the 1 mile one!) toward the end where I don't think I can raise my legs one more time!

I didn't do any exercise yesterday. My legs were just all achy all over (like with the flu) and by the time I got home from work even my fingers and hands hurt! So, I did nothing! I'm on my feet most of the day at work though. So, at least I wasn't sitting all day!

I don't think I'll ever be an exercise lover, but I'll admit I do feel better (emotionally, maybe not physically yet) AFTER doing it!

Once again, WISH has inspired me and I used the elliptical this morning. I'm working on increasing my time on that instrument of torture. 10 minutes is about my limit. I'm working on it, though!

Thanks for keeping us inspired, TigH. You are our work out coach!

Kath, you hope I AM getting sick???? heehee Just kidding! I know you meant NOT getting sick! I thought sure I was getting the flu or something and expected to wake up with fever/chills today. But, I'm okay. My legs feel better, but my wrists, elbows, and hands are still very achy. So, I think it's just this arthritis/inflammation thing that flares up on me sometimes. I probably won't make it to Curves tonight, but will try to do my WATP tape at least!

Debbie, I do the two mile tape with 2.5 pound weights on each ankle and now I use 5 pound weights on the arms...I have been working up to it, and it has taken about a month. I now try to jog in place for the waking parts too....You will make it there, I know you will. I just started doing the three mile a few times a week, and I wear the ankle weights for about half the time.

Wow, you all put me to shame!! I've been doing the 10, 000 steps program with a pedometer, and now I am hitting the 10, 000 at least 5 days a week. When I started it about a month ago I did good to do 3500 steps daily so I've really been building up my stamina. When you let yourself get really out of shape it is hard to begin any exercise program.

When school is out I'll start biking at the park again. Just not enough time in the day now...

I'm still exercising, but this has been an off week for me. I'd been walking outdoors, but the waether here has been awful! Winter is making what I hope is it's last stand. On top of that I've had an awful headcold all week & just haven't felt up to doing much. Twice this week I've been asleep on the sofa at 7:30, and that from a night person!
I have been using my weights, and did a little cardio work on my stairs, but no where near what I'd been doing. I'll be glad to get back to my routines because I have been enjoying them.. I do feel good when I exercise, & I seem to have more energy, too. Now if I could just get my nose to stop running so I could start............Oops, that's asking a little too much - running! Walking would do! Hopefully as I lose more I'll be able to do some running, but not yet! :earseek:

Debbie - Oh, I am sure you won't think exercise is a four letter word for too long! :) You have to be teasing me because anyone who can go to Curves UP TO 6 TIMES A WEEK must like exercise just a little bit! ;) Take care of those aches! Hopefully that is your body letting you know that there are some good changes coming along! ;) Keep up the great work!!! Look at how much you are doing. That is awesome! Thanks for checking in!!

Kath - GOOD FOR YOU!!! :) 10 minutes is better than 0 minutes, and over 6 days that is 60 minutes!!! It all adds up. Be good to yourself and just do the best you can! I know in time it will get easier and you will work it up to 15 minutes! I am REALLY REALLY REALLY proud of you! You could choose to NOT do any exercise at all, so give yourself a big hug from me for choosing to MOVE! :)

Glo - are you the same person I knew a little over a month or so ago who couldn't find the time or energy or motivation to exercise? ;) And now you are the poster child for MOTIVATION!!! While I am dreaming peacefully you are up walking away the pounds, and now apparently jogging some of them away!!! Where is the smiley icon that faints? hee hee! You have done a complete 180! GOOD FOR YOU!!!

Hey campingcorgi - Just think, in 44 more days you'll be walking well over 10,000 steps at the lovely Ft. Wilderness!!!! The weather will be beautiful, you'll get to enjoy all those wonderful trees and shaded paths, the beautiful peacocks, the quiet sounds of nature.... *sigh* You are doing a great job!!! Look at how far you've come in a month! Now you are hitting 10,000 steps 5 DAYS A WEEK!!! That is such a jump from the 3500 you were doing before! WOW!!! Keep up the great work and thanks for checking in! ;)

Holly!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY!!!!!! April is YOUR MONTH!!!! Look at you, Ms. Exercise Every Day In April! That is awesome! I am really happy for you and proud of you! Did you add those crunches too? :) Look at all those exclamation marks you used, that is great! It means you are turning into an exercise lover...time for that tattoo heart with the word "exercise" in it for your upper arm... ha ha! Thanks for checking in!!!!!

Nancy - ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ There you go! Some fresh pixie dust that I just baked up with lots of feel better soon and extra energy thrown in to help you get back into the swing of things!!! Just give your body time to heal and don't push yourself too much. You will be feeling better soon enough and the exercise can wait until your energy level rises! :) I bet you will work your way up to running in no time! :) Thanks for checking in and feel better soon! :)

TCKK - every little bit helps!!!! :) 3 miles is GREAT! Take it day by day and don't look back! Seems like the hardest part is getting started, and then once you get into it, it feels great! I hope that doing the 3 mile WATP tape was enough to get your momentum soaring so that you'll pop the tape in this weekend and a few days next week too! :) Be good to yourself and do the best you can!!! Thanks for checking in!!! :)

Ugh! I can't think that I will ever like to exercise. But I'm getting better at doing it. I joined Curves a month ago, and have gone @ 5 times a week (last week was only 4 because of the ice storm). I bought the Walk Away the Pounds tapes today at Costco, so I hope to add those to my routine, too.

So, here's to all of us who do it whether we like it or not.

Did the 3 mile today... :) With 3 pound hand weights...I am tired.

Yes, TIGH all it took was someone to push me over the edge. Your words to me really sparked something, and I thank you very much fir it. It is true the determination is in there for all of us. We have our good days and our bad days, but it is still there. If we want it bad enough that little seed of determination will grow.

I know this sounds weird, but I am going to see a few people I have not seen in a while soon. I am hoping like you would not believe that I get atleast one WOWser. It is not enough for me to see it, and people who see you daily do not notice it, but I am hoping. If it doesn't happen, then it means I have to try harder for the group I am seeing in July :)

I know I can do it...I may not get exactly where I want to be, but wherever I get has to be better than where I ws :)

Hugs TIGH...your words inspored me and I thank you :)

Exercise is now a part of my life. After dinner, I put on my workout clothes and head to the gym.

How about a weekly exercise challenge and checkin? People can post what type of exercise they did and how they feel.

Wow! You guys are so inspiring!

Unfortunately, I did zip this week. I have had a miserable cold (head and chest) and could hardly breathe to get to the couch from the bed. It's on the downhill side now, so I should be able to take up my walking again. As much as I hate exercize, I actually missed it. I think you guys are really getting to me! LOL!

Believe in yourself!

Thanks, Katholyn! I think the PD you sent my way must have helped! I was able to do a 30 min workout last night with my dumbells, crunches, stretches, etc. :D

Today DH & I walked outside for 30 min (just under 2 miles) complete with hills. I also did 5 loads of laundry & other housework so I've been running up & down the stairs all day, & I plan to do some more with my dumbells & crunches after dinner. It's good to be human again! Now where else did I hear that line???? :sunny:

I really want my 5 lb clippie this week, and my 10 lb before we go to WDW next month. That will mean 15 lbs overall - short of my original goal of 25 lbs overall by then, but still a good loss for me. Exercise really does make me feel better, and the weight does come off easier, too! :Pinkbounc

I'm still exercising almost every day. The weather hasn't been warm enough to walk outside, so I'm using my treadmill 4-5 times a week. I have quite a few aerobic tapes to do on the days I don't use the treadmill.

I was a pretty consistent exerciser up until we got back from our WDW trip in January- I even used the gym at the Villas at Wilderness Lodge!!!

Then the cold weather came. And then I was a juror on a rape trial and that started to play with my head for a couple of weeks, believe it or not. I could start to hear myself saying "Why get in shape if this could happen to you?" But I slapped myself into reality because I know that's not why it happens. But that and the cold weather here kept me out of the gym for a good 6 to 8 weeks, but I'm back now.

Three days each week of free weights one upper body, one lower body, one total body workout. I'm at the Y at 5:00 on those mornings and I've joined a Water Aerobics- Tuesdays and Thursdays from 7-8pm. I figure with the good weather coming I'll be throwing in a walk and/or bike ride here and there!

Good to see so many others getting in shape. I really believe you have to do both diet and exercise if you really want to see results.
