I am an R.N., but I haven't worked for the last couple of years and I haven't renewed my license. Can I show my original license or do you think only a current license will do?
I'd hate to go down and have them reject my proof of licensure, but I could sure use the discount.

I am also a nurse - if your license has an expiration date on it like mine does, I think I would be wary of it.
I did use mine at the Dolphin for the nurse discount and I thought they looked at it pretty closely.

I called and asked this same question. Reservations said the liscense needed to be current :).

Thankyou both for replying. I guess I better not take the chance.

They told me to bring proof that I was a nurse: pay stub, licence, whatever, just proof of your profession. Could you bring your nursing school / college diploma that would prove your a nurse? MKY

I actually called back to cancel my reservation since my license renewal isn't current, although I have my original license, and the resevationist double-checked for me and told me ANY proof that you are an R.N. will be accepted. I'm just going to bring down my original license and my diploma.
I explained that I was worried that I'd get down there and that they would suddenly charge me full rate since my registration isn't current, and she assured me that just bringing my original license would be proof enough.

Sarha,
Good for you! I'm glad to hear this. I'm also an RN, but not working for the past couple of years because I'm a SAHM for now. I have kept my license current, but that shouldn't matter. It's not as if you will be *working* as a nurse there, lol! Once a nurse, always a nurse! :)
Have fun!
Sue
