Hi! I am in charge of forming a proposal for a tree planting ceremony that my dd's elementary school might do for their 25th Anniversary ~ that is the school is 25 years old this year.

We are in central Ontario, near Toronto. We would like a small, slow growing tree because we don't have much room in the front of the school. It has to be inexpensive. I am going to try and get one donated, but we do have a tiny bubget.

What do you suggest? THANKS! SANDRA

Welcome, Sandra! :)

I'm certainly not an expert, but I do have a suggestion. :)

How about an Ivory Silk Japanese Tree Lilac (Syringa reticulata)? They are an excellent, medium-sized (maybe too big?) city and street, specimen tree.

I would love to have space for one. :)
