Take a trip down memory lane....what was your first Holy Grail, and how long did it take you to find it?

Mine was the Fantasia 2000 set of 9 pins in the plastic case containing the Flamingo dangle, construction worker with jackhammer, etc. It took me about 14 months to finally get the set. Haven't seen one since either.

I worked on two sets for ages (well at least 18 months, but it sure felt like ages). One was the WDW 20th anniversary set, the other was the Epcot 15th Anniversary CM set, both the flags from World Showcase and the Future World pins. I actually finished the set by buying the American Adventure pin from someone on dizpins right before the planes hit on Sept 11, 2001...it was very strange when I went back to my emails a few days later to find that the person had accepted my offer.

I would say the first HG set i wanted was the press set from innoventions. It took me months to complete and when I did.. I got 2 more sets in a few weeks... But the Single HG pin that took me the longest to get way back when... That would be the Media Mickey PTP... It took about 3 weeks of trying before I got it.

It took me all day, and Scoop tried to kill 29 of us in order not to give it away, I had medication and survived the longest, so I got it.

My hardest was a complete set of the Champion pins, the managers was the toughest to get took me months, and every season they add another so its a work in progress you could call it. :)

Actually Its all still a work in progress every time I complete a set I get bummed, sort of like the challenge is gone, so I never really complete them anymore. I get so close then I trade it all away and start another.

Currently online its the complete works of The Disney Channel. I might just keep this set since I found out the Disney channel first went on the air on my birthday, so that was a cool thing.
