Best building to stay in at CBR?

Hi!

I am thinking of surprising DH by moving our reservation from All Star Movies to CBR. He has always wanted to stay there & since we are going to drive down to save $$$, I thought I'd upgrade our room.

We are going in May. It will be DH, myself, DS#1 (5yrs) & DS#2 (2yrs.) We will be driving from Ohio - so we will have a car to contend with. We will also have a stroller. We would like to be someplace near the themed pool, or at least near the kiddie pool. Also, we would like to be close to the food, and the playground.

Also, can we use our mugs from the All stars (2000), at the food court at CBR? (I assumed we could still use them at ASMO.)

I don't think you are supposed to use your mugs from another resort (or past years?), but I don't know for sure, you may have to ask a CM when you are there.

The "island" nearest the theme pool and food court would be Trinidad North. Take a look at the CBR Map (http://wdwig.com/cbrmap1.jpg) . But I see N. Trinidad does not have a playground.

I plan to request a room in "Jamaica" when we are there in Oct. I just think it looks the prettiest and I think the kids will have fun walking through the center island to get to the food court (although I hear they have removed the birds from the island for whatever reason, so I don't know what is left there.) Jamaica has a playground, there is a nice picture of it on Deb Wills site:

I suggest you look at the posts in the FAQ that I posted above. If you do a search you will also find lots of information about CBR.

You can't use your All Star mugs at CBR. Although I am sure others will tell you differently. They are only good at the resort you purchased them at.

As far as the best place to stay, they also have quiet pools at each of the Villages.
