Hey fellow UO employees...

As most of you probably know, Jimmy Neutron is in employee previews tonight through Friday. I know they start at 6pm when the park closes, but for the life of me, I can't actually remember when they end. I'm thinking its 10pm, but I'm not sure. Anyone know for sure?

The park closes at 7. And yes, the Jimmy previews stop at 10p. I'm going tomorrow, unless by some means I can go tonight, which I cant right now.

Just found out that apparently tonight's previews were cancelled due to some last minute technical difficulties. Thursday and Friday night are still supposed to be a go, however.

I hafta meet a friend for an exchange of "items" after I get off work, but I will make a U-turn after it's all over (depending on Situation) and go test ride. Thankfully the Location isnt too far away. :)

Not quite "last minute" difficulties. Previews are on a wait and see basis.

That may be...but if they sent out all those cards to passholders and they don't have the preview Sat., there are going to be some ticked off people! Especially me...being ANYWHERE at 8am is not in my nature!!!

So let's hope they get it going and ready for Sat.! :)

I wouldn't hold your breath. I was in Jimmy this morning and they were still doing test and adjust, and, well, let's just say there were a lot of 4 letter words being shouted by the programmers.

Has any attraction ever been ready to open on time in all of history?

Who knows though-- The Universal Team has a way of pulling things together when it's crunch time.

Storm Force Accelatron did, even if it's not that great. It had the "shortest technical rehersal period ever".

As for the ride, I rode it with 11 other crew members tonight. It's a lot of fun, you go around the nicktoon studios and see various nicktoon stars, some even have fairly lengthy cameos. Angelica (rugrats) and Spongebob have LONG cameos, especially spongebob. Bubbles fall when you're in Bikini Bottom and there are lasers at the end. You might even get a mild mist (ala Spider-Man) in the first half of the ride. It's really cool. And yes, there is stationary seating available. At the end of the ride, something really funny happens. I wont tell it now, as that would be spoilage. If you want to know *that bad* then pm me and ask.

Overall: great ride. After exiting, there's a new interactive play area and then you exit through the store. Kids and adults will love it. I'm gonna ride it again tomorrow night.

Sounds great! I have a kid here who really likes Jimmy Neutron and Spongebob so I guess that I'd better start planning our next trip. ;)

One down, now bring on Shrek!

I can see it now on the news. Orlando Police Department called to Universal studios due to an angry crowd lead by MsDisney and Robinrs due to a passholder preview that was cancelled due to technical difficulties.

I rode it again last night and saw that my two favorite nicktoons are on it very briefly in the beginning. REN AND STIMPY! That rules so very much. And so many people went nuts when Spongebob came out.

IMHO, SpongeBob could be the next Mickey Mouse/Scooby Doo and ect... It amazes me how popular the cartoon is all across the age spectrum. In my store we sell SB merchandise and we have the young teeny tots all the way up through young adults, parents and grandparents yammering about him. It's crazy and the stuff flys off the shelves!

What amazes me the most is that SB is popular with my age bracket 18-25, I'm 22. During Spring Break we see bazillions(okay not THAT many, but close ;) ) of the breakers in our store and they all reconize him by name and the other characters too!

Heck, I think Nick should push there cartoons into the main stream market more. Apparently the masses are ready for something new.

Btw what ever happend to Ren and Stimpy and Two Angry Beavers? I loved both shows and recently read/heard that R&S were coming back to television. Any truth to that?

In the beginning of the pre-show when the egg guy takes over the Mach 4 space ship. He says something about an evil one look at the flag real close it looks like it has a Mickey head on it. I thought that was the best. If anybody else sees the show in the next couple of days can you confirm that. I am going to try to get back tomorrow but I doubt I will be able to.

I heard that too, but no of no other information about it. I'd love to see R&S again. Plus I have to buy the "You Eediot" album on CD. My tape of it got chewed up. :(

Speaking of SpongeBob... while waiting in the full queue today full of people for Nicktoon Blast the opening sequence for Spongebob started playing on the overhead monitors. A good 90% of the people in the queue would sing the "Spongbob Squarepants" part of the song, reallyloudly in unison. It was honestly one of the coolest spontaneous moments I've ever been a part of in a theme park. He really is THAT popular.

I noticed that too, before your post. He says something like "I claim this ship in the name of the enemy" and sticks a green flag in it with what appears to be a mickey head on it. Its one of those could-be-or-couldnt be things.

Yes :). It's back under the helm of John K./Spumco, too.

That's really cool about Ren & Stimpy being included in the ride. Maybe it'll be a type of "hidden mickey" for this ride; spot the old school Nick Toons, like R&S, Rocko, and Ahh Real Monsters. I'd love to see Doug, the favorite Nick Toon of my childhood, but it is now the property of Der Mouse.

Anyway, thats something to look forward to. I hope theres a lot more neat references for those odfus who gre up on Nick, but don't get their new shows.

I hate to kill a good legend-in-the-making, but Ooblar actually says "I claim this ship in the name of Yokus" (the Yokian homeworld). The "Mickey head" on the flag is a capital "Y". :p

LOL, Rob! Actually the angry crowd was lead by Robinrs and her son on Thursday morning when we went before checking out of the Royal Pacific and it WASN'T OPEN!! Grrrrrrr....

They told us that the ride would open intermittently during the day. Oh well, it would've been ride #4 for us!

Needless to say my son LOVED it and I really enjoyed the interactive area after the show. There is a machine that allows you to email a Nick Postcard, a la EPCOT and I sent a few. Hope they got them.

For the AP holders they had personal time with Spongebob and Jimmy Neutron characters and signed posters. My son was in heaven! We also saw Angelica and two Wild Thornberry's characters. Great photo ops.
