Two Way Radio questioin..

Do you all use the ones that have charging stands or the ones with regular batteries?
I'm trying to figure out the pro's & con's...

We use the ones with the 2 batteries, and just take extra batteries with us. Bought them in K-mart and got a lot of use out of them already! :)

Ours can be run either way. So, we use the rechargeable ones to start and carry extra batteries with us just in case!

They worked great! I did carry an extra pack of batteries but it was the 4th day before we needed to change them and each radio would blink a red light when the batteries were getting low so you had warning. We have the motorola talkabouts. There was a good bit of traffic on most of the channels. It was managable most of the time unless kids were playing on them. Then we would just change channels. We sat on our balcony at the Dolphin and could hear people talking in World Showcase and MGM. We never managed to talk to our party that far, but I think it was because my DH kept it in his pocket where he couldn't hear it :p Anyway, it worked great for us.
