Does anyone have a recipe for grapenut pudding? (I think it might also be called Indian pudding) I had one years ago and it was so good! I remember having to soak the grapenuts over night.

TIA!

The "Indian Pudding" recipe I have is the old Colonial type (boiled in a bag) and calls for suet. I don't think that's what you're looking for, but let me know if it is & I'll post it.

Grape Nut Pudding

½ c grape nuts
½ c brown sugar
1 egg, beaten
1 Tbl cornstarch
1/8 tsp salt
2 c milk
½ c raisins
½ c chopped nuts
1 tsp vanilla

Combine sugar, salt & cornstarch. Add beaten egg & blend into mixture. Add grape nuts & milk; beat thoroughly. Dust raisins & chopped nuts with flour; fold into mixture. Add vanilla. Pour into greased baking dish & bake at 350 until firm - ~45 min. Yield: 6 servings

i hope i don't sound like a complete idiot when i ask this but...when you say grapenuts, do you mean the cereal kind or is it a special ingredient?

It's the cereal kind :)
