Anyone see the article in Memory Makers?

I don't mind organizing it!

What you do is send sets of related photos out (2 page spread), each person can ONLY spend up to $20 on the pages and will mail back the person finished pages (send doubles just in case that persons style isn't like your own and you don't like it!) :p

They stole the idea from my favortie show Trading Spaces - and it really sounds like fun!

It looks like fun! A couple more people sign up and we will do it!

Then I will divide it up send out addresses to you and you send that person your photos! (Remember - enough for a two pages spread specify your page sizes too! even the odd sizes - I know I use CM books and the pages are slightly under 12X12.)

Then everyone has 3 weeks to finish the two pages and mail them back to the person!:p

I like the idea but am not sure if I could get organized enough to take a two page spread of photos out of whatever I'm working on to do this! But I'd be game to try, I think! :confused:

I don't think so - I think as long as you have doubles it will be whatever -
If you want it to be Disney pages thats fine to - I'm sure everyone here has plenty of Disney Scrappin stuff :)

So we are working in pairs? I would make pages for the same person who is making mine? I would send the info on page sizes, etc. to that person, not to you, right? I did send you my address. What if the other person doesn't like what I make?!

Here is what I was thinking -

I will send you the name of the person whom you should send:
1- your page size/format
2- several related photos (enough for two page spread)
3- A little info on the photos - who, when, why, where or any
other important info you want included on the layout.

You mail your person that info (so we will not be working in groups of two). More like a big circle!

Then each person has until April 30th to make the pages and mail them back to the person.
Don't forget to put you name and address with your pictures and info!
What if you don't like what the other person does -
thats ok -
cuz hopefully you are using doubles ;)
But I am sure that everyone will put their best effort forward and we should see some beautiful pages!

Tomorrow night I will send you those names!
Right now there are 6 of us signed up!

I can't wait! :D maggie I would think that since we're not sending everything to a single person to distribute that we'd all just take care of envelope & postage for the pages we make. Otherwise we'd have to send big envelopes multiple times - when we send out the photos & info and when we return the completed pages.

Hi Patty,

Just wanted to check to see if you received my PM. We've had some horrible weather here and computers have been going up and down.

Today is no better weatherwise although so far (knock wood) the computers aren't blinking!

And for postage I was on the same wavelength as RRBB -
it makes more sense this way - each person pays to mail theirs out and then pays to mail the page they are doing back. It should work out the same (If not cheaper because you aren't buling up the first envelope to include an envelope - know what I mean?)

Oops Patty, I just replied and didn't leave the original message intact. But can assure Pauline that she was included because she is my exchange buddy! Have a great time in WDW and don't stress over the deadling. The pics I think I will send (have to look through some options) would be part of a book I haven't even BEGUN to start and would be part of year TWO so not a big deal.

Now i know why my sister got a timeshare in Virginia in February really cheap...
How id the weather there now? My DH and I want to go away for a long weekend and were considering Virginia Beach!

weather is fine now, it's actually sunny and 70. :D I'm hoping the worst is over. (of course now it will get too hot and I'll complain about that....:D ) Va. Beach should be nice now though. maggie
