The top of my list is Lord Of The Rings, The Two Towers. I'm in love with an elf named Legolas. The next best was How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days, Kate Hudson was SOOOO good in this movie and Matthew McConneghey (probably misspelled that last name) is GREAT!!!!!

I really enjoyed LOR:The Two Towers, also. Can't wait for the next one.

It won't win any awards but I enjoyed Bringing Down the House. Steve Martin always makes me laugh. And I thought Queen Latifah did a great job, too.

Of course that is the ONLY movie I have gone to see in the last 6 months! :p

I have rented a few more movies so I have not gone movie-less for 6 months. We have rented the 1st Harry Potter movie, Sweet Home Alabama and My Big Fat Greek Wedding.

We don't get to too many movies until they come to DVD, but our DD (17) went last night with her visiting grandparents to see "Bringing Down The House' and they LOVED it!

Her grandmother said that Queen Latifah is heading to become the next Whoopi Goldberg!

I agree!

Red Dragon was very good. It's really creepy and the type of movie you keep thinking about a long time after you see it. The best movie I have gone to the theater to see in a long time.

Lord of the Rings The Two Towers was also well done.

Actually, these are the only two movies I have seen in the last six months :) .

LOL, my thoughts exactly! ;) I was lucky enough to get to see Two Towers at Imax-- Twice! If there's anything better than Legolas, its 13-story tall Legolas! Cant wait for that one to come out on dvd- I've almost worn out the Fellowship of the Ring dvds!

Also counting the days until Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets is on DVD. Not long now!

I just saw Bringing Down the House today-it was hilarious!!!!!

Chicago really deserved Best Picture.

Lord of the Rings because it's based on a Christian's work.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets-as expected Kenneth Branagh plays his character very well :)

My Big Fat Greek Wedding had me in stitches! Do you know that every word has a Greek root? (Inside joke :jester: )

Gods and Generals-even though this is a loooooooooooong movie (a kid fell alseep during it LOL!), I found it was very interesting and it held this ADDers attention! I even cried during this movie, which is a first for me. I can hardly wait for the sequals to come out.

I loved Harry Potter, Chicago, My Big Fat Greek Wedding, Catch Me If You Can, Gangs of New York.

I thought Bringing Down the House was cute, but would have rather saved the $$ and seen it on video. Same goes with another movie I saw, right now the name escapes me - maybe Two Weeks Notice? - with Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock. Both sort of light, predictable movies better suited for video.

True, it was long but SOOOOOOOOOOOO GOOD! Face it, most people just don't "get" this movie. The DVD version will be fully restored and will run six hours PLUS bonus material.

Sequals---- "Gettsysburg" which came out in 1993 is actually the second movie in the series. G&G was the first one and "The Last Full Measure" is the third and final one. They hope to start filming this one sometime this summer but, more realistically, it will probably not be until next summer. That's okay. I'll be watching the G&G DVD for WEEKS!!! :D
