Does anyone know of a chat/forum where I can get advice and info on cruises?

There is a forum here on the boards that is Cruise Info. Go back to the main Discussion Board Page and scroll down until you find Disney Cruise Line Forum.
Hope this helps

They do discuss other cruiselines on the DCL cruise board as well, particularly since the sponsor, Dreams Unlimited, can help you book with other lines.
There's another set of boards at a website called Cruise Critic. I don't have the link, but if you do a search for that you should find it. Just look for the message boards link from the Cruise Critic page.

I would suggest cruise critic.

you can chat by cruise line if you want. It's very helpful.

I think cruisecritic.com is really good. There are a lot of friendly, helpful people there. There are even separate discussion boards for each cruise line.

Another great cruise web site is cruisemates.com. I have learned so much from their message boards and the folks on the boards are really friendly (like here)

Thank you so much for all of your replies. My family of six wants to go on a cruise this year but I think with how costly they are , we will do our research and save to go next year. I hear how great Disney cruises are but way out of my price range. Thanks again.

I would highly recommend checking with Hobbit Travel.
www.hobbittravel.com they offer great cruise deals out of Minneapolis!
If you're able to do a last minute trip, you can find some amazing prices!!
Good luck :)

I would also recommend cruisemates.com. My dh & I ended up taking our 1st cruise with a group of them (we had booked and then found out that they had organized a group). They took us under their wings and we had the best time. Everyone kept saying we were really silly hooking up with people you have only met on the internet was terrible (I don't tell them about the DIS meets I've now been to) but they were just wonderful.
