Would love to stay at AKL Dec 25(late) or Dec 26 to Jan 3. I currently have a reservation at CBR for $2200 including the general dream makers package. Currently AKL is 3300 for that time period and I was wondering if there is any travel discount memberships that I could get, that would bring the AKL price down to a more reasonable figure.

Also, I see lots of posts about AP discounts and am wondering what an AP discount is, and how do people get them.

Any help would be great.

jaw62901, An AP is an Annual Pass. AP holders get special discounts throuh the year. You'll have to read through the boards to see if there is a code for Dc. 25. But I don't think so! It is a peak time of year. Also I don't think it would be worth it for you to but an AP for only 7 days. but go to mousesavers.com and check out the disount codes section and see what kind of discounts there are for that time frame.

My first question is do you intend to go to Disney Quest, and do you intend to go to the water parks and/or Pleasure Island more than 4 times. If not pay for the resort by itself and buy 7 day hoppers, you might save quite a bit of money. But a discount during that time of year is quite unlikely.

Hi there..

Considering you are staying over the holidays.. xmas/new years 3300.00 is pretty good for a deluxe hotel and 2200.00 is good for CBR too.

The hotels get sold out at that time of the year - so I can't see any huge deals coming... but maybe with the world situation - less people will be travelling and a code may come out at some point.

Good Luck!

I would seriously consider booking separate components rather than a package. You can book both hotels and then when (or if) the AP codes* come out you can call CRO and negotiate the discount. Mousesavers has a really great bit on the site about packages and what you save vs. the stuff they throw in that is useless. Also the Unofficial Guide to WDW has a piece about packages. IMHO packages are rarely a good or even decent value. Like I said just my opinion. Good Luck,
Janice
