Your guide really doesn't matter. You are going to find way more information here than from any guide. More honest also.

You are talking about a salesperson, a timeshare salesperson. They use the name "Guide" to dress up and cover that fact. If they caled the "Timeshare Salespeople", they would have a rougher time selling. Your guide is simply the person that will fill out the paperwork. I have had two and in eight years have never had a need to speak to either one of them.

You will get people saying their's were so nice and helpful, those are the best SALESPEOPLE. Being a sales person has one goal and one goal only, make your customers think you really care, get them to trust you......personally, I would rather have a lousy salesperson, he may be a bit more candid.....

While a salesman's job is to sell I use them as a resource rather than taking only their word for the situation. I have talked to my "guide" many times and he has always answered my questions. I then investigate his replies on my own and have found that in all cases our guide did provide us with the correct answer. He has called us before price increases to keep us informed. The DVC guides are a little more laidback than other "timeshare salespeople" have been, they call me constantly and the first meeting was always a very hardsell.
