Has anyone created a user log on to the new Disney Visa site? They have special offers including discounted room rates and other special offers. Looks to me like they have re-created the DC. Glad I signed up!

I just got my visa today! I went to www.bankone.com/disney, but I didn't see anything about discounted hotel rooms. Am I looking in wrong spot? Going in May and wondering if we qualify for anything??? thanks

You have to create a user id and log on-it takes a few minutes. Once you get there, you will find a pull down menu and discounts is a choice. There were WDW and DL room discounts, DCL $50.00 on board credit, some dvd movie special and the rest I forget.

Now if the Disney Credit Card was offered at a lower interest rate, I just might consider getting one, but not until then.

The Disney VISA card is offering 6 months NO interest. That's a pretty good deal if you ask me:p Just got my pin today! Will have to check out that website, thanks!

It's ok but not as good as I was hoping. I have one that's o% til 01/04 and then the rate is 7.9 fixed. Anyway, I'm gonna miss my Disney Club. I just hate having another credit card on a credit report. I hope they do have good offers for cardholders. If it turns out that way I might be able to have my arm twisted ( as long as I don't use the card ).:D

Forget interest! The wisest way to use any credit card is to PAY YOUR BALANCE every month. If you can't pay, don't buy!
No balance = no interest.

I agree, we pay ours off every month. Charged my first item to our Disney Card today. I was getting ready to write a check for one of my DH's magazine subscriptions, then realized I could charge it, let the Disney Rewards begin!! ~:p~

I also agree, we never have a balance. We only charge what we can afford. I am happy to hear of discounts, hubby will be too. Maybe they are trying to recreate somthing like the DC. Anyway I'm glad we have it.

Not to whine but....if DC was offerred to everyone why are they
now excluding anyone but US citizens. Do you think they might come up with something else for non-US?

After reading Mousesavers, you don't need to rush to get the card for the resort discounts. The code is listed as available to everyone, giving the same discount as other codes...

I also feel badly for those that may not have qualified for a Visa card. They lost out on any benefits that the DC had offered them and now can't even get any disney benefits because they were denied the new visa.

I personally don't need another credit card but hey it was Disney so of course I took it.

Yes I'm a bit annoyed at the exclusion of 'foreigners' too!

We're Disney Club members...but once that runs out in December...nothing:(

Don't the purchases have to be $100 or over to count towards the rewards? The yellow page of the brochure says, "Each transaction on your Disney Visa Card must be between $101 and up to a maximum of $10,000 to qualify for this offer." But, in contrast, on a white page in the brochure, it says "You will accrue one(1) Disney Dream Reward Dollar for every one hundred (100) dollars of Net Purchases."

So will they add them up, or each transaction need to exceed $100? Not that I need to worry about it much, because I do not plan on charging anwhere near an amount to make this worth my while.

Oh my, each transaction???

That is talking about getting the 0% offer on Disney vacation packages, not for earning reward dollars.

It will take a while for me to accrue enough reward points to really do a lot of good, but I'm glad I got the card anyway. Maybe all this charging I'm doing for my wedding will help, LOL! :teeth:

Having had a USAir Visa for years, I recommend that you keep your eyes open and use the Visa for everything you can---many bills can be paid with credit card, groceries, doctor visits, etc.--never pay cash! I even switched dry cleaners to one that takes the Visa. The points add up and you aren't spending any extra money.

I have a question for those who have the Disney Visa? Were you required to send in ORIGINAL COPIES of your phone bill and utilities bill along with a copy of your SS card?

I applied on-line and now they're requesting this info. What gives??????

No, we were not required to provide any of that info, we just signed up online and received the card in the mail. WHERE on the website do you create a user id, I see nothing on there about the Disney card except how to apply.

Dansyr, I got my card in about a week, ten days maybe? It was quick.

ead79, I used my toysrus visa for everything, just wrote what I spent in my checkbook to keep track. I earned over $900 in about two years. Planning to do that with the disney card now. Just pay off your balance every month. ;)

They send you the pin after you make your first purchase with the card. I have not yet received mine but some have reported receiving it.

Yeah...consider yourself lucky that you atleast have a <i>choice</i> on whether you have the Disney Visa, bad interest rates or not. I had the DC and MKC for years and when it runs out later this year, I'll have nothing to replace all the different benefits - thanks for looking after your International contingent Disney :(

When I got my cards in the mail, I called the 800# to activate and on the prerecorded tape they ask you if you would like to choose a PIN number then.

Absolutely Penny! I'm so not over this - I mean Disney are an international company are they not???? and now we can't even get white glove treatment with AMEX - I've got such the hump over losing out on this.

I guess Bank One doesn't offer cards to people out of the US, but maybe if enough Brits & others are persistant, Disney might try to work something out for you. Good Luck! :smooth:

mousehut101, in terms of resort discounts you can find the code in Mousesavers. The discount is actually available to anyone, in addition to other codes giving the same rates..

The card is not offering anything exclusive, over and beyond what is offered to the general public.

The code WAS to be exclusive but CRO messed up. Imagine that.

Oh well I got my Florida Resident rate which is much better!!!!!

I thought I was blind, but I finally found it. After you log-in, go to your account page, then on that page near bottom there is a line item marked offers, curren offers, select offers scroll down to view disney offers. Right now the only hotel discount is the one on mousesavers but in the future, who knows. good luck.
