View Full Version : EE then afternoon break..what time to return to the parks?

We haven't been to WDW during EMH or the summer with longer hours (hopefully) before. We are usually at the park all day (open to close). Going during the summer this time we plan to do EMH then leave after lunch (around 12:30). Figuring we get back to the resort (POR or AKL) by 1:00 how long should we "plan" to hang out and swim/rest before the crowds die down a little and we can venture back into the parks? I'm assuming the parks will close 8-9ish depending on the park (of course AK earlier). Thanks!

I would head back around 4:00.

We usually head back around 5:30 P.M. when the parks are open late. It gives us a chance to go to the pool, relax a little and take a shower. We often eat lunch back in our DVC rooms. In that case we leave the park earlier than lunch and return a little earlier in the afternoon.
