Have your kids ever given you a black eye?

I have one today. :( Hopefully it wont be so bad but I can feel it there.

I was playing with Karissa and she laughed so hard she threw back her head and nailed me right in the eye! :eek:

No black eye, but once when I was reading to my DS I bent down to kiss his head just as he was throwing his head back and chipped a couple of my teeth! Ouch! It was fun trying to explain it to the dentist while he was filing them down!!

No, but my ds has come very close a time or 2.:eek: When my dd was about 8 months old she busted my nose. I didn't think it would ever stop bleeding.:eek:

No black eyes but my daughter gave me a cracked rib before she was even born and several bloody noses when she went through her "head butting" phase. :rolleyes:

No black eye....but a scratched cornea. I was nursing DD #2 and she was waving her arm around and somehow her fingernail and my eye collided. I had to wear a patch for a few days and put drops in....it was miserable. I HATE putting things in my eyes!!!

No kids here...but my dog gave me a black eye once. I was bending down to kiss him and he was getting up on his back legs to kiss me. Did you know Labradors have VERY hard heads??? :p

No black eyes but I am convinced he may have created a hairline fracture in my skull a few times. :eek:

The worst thing has been when he hits his head into my mouth. That is bad enough but I have braces and it just causes the metal brackets to cut the heck out of my mouth. Ouch!

AAHHH yes...Braces and and an 18-24 month old.

My DD was in between that age and hit the side of my mouth with her hard head.

I had braces and I went in later that week to get them tightened.
The assistant asked if my DH had hit me in the face. My face turned bright red. I said no, but that my daughter head butted the side of my face.
That would explain it, she said. She had hit me so hard, it broke my wires on that side!

Glad we are out of that with all the kids!

No black eyes here, but DS once stuck his finger up my nose as a toddler and then bent his finger! :eek: I couldn't get it back out of my nose!

Not a black eye but a busted, fat lip! DD did the head swing into my mouth. It was horrible, I looked awful. I bet everyone thought my DH had beat me up! :eek:

I also had the scratched cornea from DD's fingernail. It was pretty deep and even now almost 9 years later still bothers me at times. (like when I'm really tired)

When DS was about 6 we took him to the Dr. for a shot and he almost dislocated my jaw! He HATES shots! There were two nurses and your truly holding him down when his arm broke free and I received a swift upper cut! I was black and blue for days! LOL!

Glad he out grew that fear!!

Jack was about 2 and having a "time out" in my lap (he would NEVER stay in a chair or the corner) and he smashed his head into my mouth.... it was bloody and swollen.... looked like I had been beaten. :eek:

When I was a little girl, probalby about 5 or 6, my mom was tickling me and I accidently kicked her so hard in the side that I broke her rib!!!:eek:

yep, black eye...when ds was about 2 he was playing with hotwheels, i layed down for a minute and whack right in the eye.he's 12 now and doesnt remember the incident but i'll never forget it.(i do forgive though) - i guess i shouldnt have tryed to rest!
