Need least expensive transport/ Is there a shuttle to airport from HRH?

We haven't decided on our mode of transportation from airport/ hotel and back. Thinking of Tiffany Town Car, but recently read some negative posts. But I have read many good ones also. For us, the main consideration is cost. We don't need any extras. Anyone remember aprox. what it costs by taxi? Tiffany? Mears? thanks M

We used Tiffany Town Car service, and it was great! You have the car for your family only, where you share the bus with Mears. Also, you do not have all the stops to other hotels as you would with Mears, and time is everything. My kids thought it was so cool, to have a driver waiting for us at the airport too.

I used one of the shuttle services at the airport, transtar1. It cost me $19/rt from the airport to Universal. I used a $4.00 discount coupon from their website. Just allow extra time incase they're late picking you up when you go back to the airport. This happened to me and is common,apparently.

The fares I've seen mentioned for a taxi were around $35 one way not including tip.

How many people are in your group? For four people (two adults and two children), using a taxi was the best way for us and cost $35 each way plus tip. This was less than what I was quoted for a towncar or a shuttle and it worked out well that we had the flexibility because our flight was late. For our return to the airport, HRH had our taxi waiting for us in minutes, though I probably should have given them a little more warning.

Thanks everyone for your input. We are two adults and one teen. I also would appreciate some feedback on how long you think it will take on our return trip from HRH to the airport on a weekday morning. We would like to arrive back at the airport around 8 a.m. to meet some friends. How much time should we allow from HRH to airport by 8 a.m.??? thanks. M
