If you pray, I need your help (Update: pg. 3)

We have a friend, Amy, (she's 35 with 2 small children) who was diagnosed with a liver disease last year. She was told that in the next few years she would need a transplant. About 2 weeks ago she got an infection in her colon and just can't get rid of it. She has been moved to Chapel Hill this past weekend and is now in critical condition. She just went into emergency surgery to remove her colon and has now moved to #2 on the donor list. The next few hours are very critical if Amy is going to survive. If you read this, I ask for your prayers for Amy and her family. You don't even need to take time to respond just help us lift this family up to the Lord. Thank you so much my DIS family, I know from experience what a wonderful group of prayer warriors you are.

UPDATE:
Amy came through colon surgery last night (even better than expected) and now it's touch and go as they await a donor liver. It's so sad to think that some family will be mourning when we will be joyous. I'm already praying for peace for this "other" family. I will continue to update as we get news from Chapel Hill. Thank you all so very much for your prayers. I honestly believe that we are helping to make a difference.

Update (10:50am - Wednesday)
I just heard more on Amy and she's doing much better than they expected. The colon surgery has made things much better on the liver and she's now #1 on the transplant list. We are feeling much better than we did yesterday. Thank you all.
