I bought my cats a Littermaid litter box -- the automatic one that rakes the cat litter about 10 minutes after your cat leaves the box.

Fergie christened it and went about her business. Diana went into to look at it about 10 minutes later and it sprang into action. Thank goodness she wasn't in it. She did her best puffy tail and hissing (I am still laughing!). Fergie came into to see why Diana was hysterical, and looked very surprised that the litterbox was moving. I, of course, stood there laughing so hard that I had tears rolling down my face. I have never seen a litterbox attack a cat before. I'm fully expecting the Animal Patrol to come knocking on my door and take me away.

Both cats are hiding now. I just hope they use this thing!!

My cats used ours. But, when they don;t "hit" in the right spot and get stuff on the little fingers that rake it, it will kind of jam.

Our kitties are back to going in and out the kitty door again. I am hoping the raccoons don't find out that the kitty door is back in business. They liked coming in and eating the kitty food.

I too have a littermaid for my cats, however Ivy is absolutely fascinated by it. Almost everytime it goes to clean he sits next to it and watches it work. Then gets in and play and comes back again to watch it work again. Tigger could care less but he does like to wait until it is freshly raked to do his business.
