New to board with questions

Hi all,
I'm new to the board so forgive but what are the "lime ribbons"?
Also, I'll be there May 23-26th with my girlfriend.... any suggestions? Anyone want to share an illuminations cruise? :D

Hi eelelad and welcome to the DIS. I'm so glad you decided to join us.

Members of the DIS use lime green ribbons on their waist packs or back packs or whatever to identify themselves to other DISers. When I see a lime green ribbon at WDW I always try to speak to that person to see if they frequent the DIS. Sometimes they are from the DIS and sometimes they just put the ribbon on their back pack so they could easily identify it at the airport :rolleyes: It's just a fun thing to do, we think of ourselves as a big family here and we're always looking for other members of our "family".

Thanks for the information. I haven't read that anywhere else yet but will add a lime green ribbon on my next trip.
