Anyone know the Tampa Bay area, specifically the area by the Devil Rays park?

We are thinking of attending a game in July and since it is a late game, we are thinking of getting a hotel close to the park.

Are there any decent ones within walking distance ( assuming it is save to walk at night, is it??)? If not, can anyone recommend one fairly close?

Thanks for any help. Now I just have to figure out how to get to the park. We are going next weekend to purchase the tickets.

There's nothing that's close by, as in walking distance.

Downtown St. Pete is a couple of miles away, and has several hotels. Try this site:
