Could anyone tell me what my chances would be to make ressies now for OKW or BW for Labor Day weekend? I am thinking Sept 1-5. Are the crowds large at this time of year?

I have banked all my pts for the year but just did a 50 pt add-on. So I can bank these 50 points or use them before October. We have an October use year but my Guide and MS are allowing us to bank the points because we decided to add-on in the middle of the initial purchase in March...we saved them the hassle of redoing the orginal paperwork (now we have 2 deeds). Anyway.. We currently have ressies for November but I really want to be in in WDW sooner!!! I am not sure if I should be patient and wait till November or try to sneak down for a few days in September. Any suggestions?

Well... I am also thinking of the crowds... I am not sure if Labor Day weekend is anything like Easter week. Anyone been to WDW on Labor Day weekend?

Its less crowded than most holiday's. Kid's are back at school, or getting ready to be.

It's a nice time to go.

Hi MKKIM,
I would say your chances are very good. I just made a reservation for August 31-Sept.7 at WLV. They still had a lot of availability at OKW as well. I dont know about BWV as I dont like it there so I didnt inquire. I got a 1 bedroom without a problem. Good Luck You should be fine. I dont know about the crowds but it falls in value season for rack CRO rates and park hours are decreased at this time so I am pretty sure it will be lower attendance. See you there!

It won't be anything like Christmas, 4th of July or Spring Break. Lots of schools are already back or start that Monday and parents aren't as likely to have them miss the beginning of school. For the weekend itself you'll have folks taking advantage of the 3 days. A friend of mine unexpectedly found himself and family at WDW for the Monday right after Labor Day one year (a hurricane drove him out of his NC vacation). He said it was like a ghost town it seemed so empty.

I called yesterday about Labor Day. I asked about checking in on 08/31 and checking out 09/03. There was nothing available for the Sunday night of 09/02 at OKW or BW. The other days were available and there were 1BR villas at WLV for all three nights. Since Monday, 09/03 is a holiday, I suppose many people are checking in on Sunday. I was asking about studios, and they volunteered that I could get a 1BR at WLV instead. Hotel availability was still there too. but of course that is more costly point-wise. Just call MS and check on Monday - you might get lucky!

we went last Labor day weekend and the crowds were very managable. It wasn't slow, but the lines were not too long. Think the longest we waited was 30 minutes.

We also were there this past Labor Day. We arrived on Friday and the lines weren't long. Saturday wasn't bad either. Sunday afternoon was terrible at the MK. We could barely walk through and the fast pass lines were as long as the regular lines. There were a lot of groups there. After that day, it wasn't crowded. By the way, the weather was very hot and humid.

Thank you all very much for your input! I will be giving MS a call on Monday to see what is available!!! Wish me luck... Glad to hear the crowds are manageable at that time of year!

I am staying 2 nites in a Ft. Wilderness cabin before we check in at OKW. I got a good rate using some of the discount codes, It sure saved me those weekend points. I just called last week and they still had availablility
