Warning for people faxing back the EA Profile for New EA Members...

I recently applied for National's Emerald Aisle CLub and just got my membership kit the other day in the mail. In the kit they include a somewhat preprinted Master Rental Agreement Profile which had my information on it from when I signed up via the National Web site. When I looked at this I noticed that my birthdate and my driver's licence expiration dates were wrong. They had 03-05-19** as both dates and my birthdate as well as the driver's licence expiration dates are May 3. I would think that they would be printed out as 05-03-19** as that is typical way that dates are handled in the USA anyway. Well I made corrections on the profile and signed it and faxed it to them. Looking at the form more I decided to check the National Webpage and look at my profile and sure enough the dates were correct there.... :confused: I called National and they confirmed that on the profile they print out dates in a DD-MM-YEAR fashion and not the normal MM-DD-YEAR format. They told me it wasn't a big problem but to call back in a couple of days and make sure they correct the dates that I messed up.

I just wanted to warn others who are filling out the profile not to make the same mistake.

I went to the National Counter and submitted my EC application and received my number. I had a fit when I got home and realized that their agent had entered my birthdate and DL wrong. I had entered it the odd way that National had requested it DD/MM/YYYY. I called National and she explained that I could log onto my EC account on the National website and change my PROFILE as needed. It was simple and easy and I corrected the dates and other little data entry errors. :D

Thanks for the tip. I think I will just check National's EA web page periodically next week and make sure the dates are correct and fix them there if need be. They really should put some thought into that form though, the DD-MM-YEAR format is confusing if you aren't used to it.
