Hello everybody! You guys are full of information so I thought I would ask you all :D

DH, I & DS plus my mother & her husband are going to Disney! Woohoo!
My mother has offer to watch our son one evening if DH & I want to go out to eat somewhere special. Double Woohoo:bounce:

Now the question......WHERE???????

Can anyone recommend a nice special place to have a dinner? It will be near our 5 year wedding annverisary so it will be kind like our 'late' annverisary dinner
I don't eat meat (including fish) but I know the Disney chefs can whip up something if you request it.

I need some recommendations :smooth:

Thanks!

California Grill--we ate here last June with our dds and it was wonderful. Try to get a PS near the time for the MK fireworks--it is sooo romantic--they dim the lights and pipe in the music. :D

I will keep California Grill in mind. The fireworks sound really nice :)

No one else knows of any nice restaurants to have a romantic meal at??

My 2 favorites were Cali Grill and Wolfgang Puck's upstairs. Both seemed to be more adult oriented and we had a beautiful view at both. The food at both was unbelievable!!! I believe both have vegetarian options on the menu.

Our favorite is Artist Point at WL. Vegitarian options will be a little slim on the menu, mostly seafood and game dishes. Check the menu database.
AP makes for a very nice romantic dinner.

and I noticed that they had at least one great vegetarian entree on the menu - almost gave up the monkfish for it!

We also really like Citrico's - it's very quiet and adult oriented. Great food too!

Lots of choices!!
Here are my favorites:
Victoria and Alberts (if $$$ isn't an object)
Citrico's
California Grill
Jiko
Palio

Several other spots to be sure, but these seem to be the most "adult friendly" (and romantic) spots.

Every time I read something about a request for a good vegi eater's place to dine it seems Cali Grill is the place to go.

California Grill would be the best place for vegetarian fare--they can do ovo-lacto or vegan wonderfully! I really like this restaurant, it's on my short list.

Not sure how much choice you would have at most of the other upscale places.

Thank you everybody for your ideas.
I think after looking it over, I think we are going
to try California Grill. It sounds nice.

Of course Victoria & Albert's sounds nice too,
but I think it is a little too much on what we really
want to spend for a nice dinner.

Now my other question, is a PS a good
idea for California Grill or could we just want
until the day we want to go & make PSs for
that evening?

Thank you again!
I really can NOT wait for June! I am SO excited!
This is going to be so much fun :bounce:

Don't wait!!! In fact make the reservations as soon as possible. This restaurant sells out a good deal of the time!

Thanks Anne for letting me know.

We are waiting to see if/when we get a PS for CRT. I get to call next month on that.

After that we will have to sit down & make out the rest of our schedule.

How soon can you do a PS at the California Grill?

Thank you again!

120 days. Book it now, you can always try to change it later.

Be sure and tell them when you make the PS that it is a special occasion and you would like a table near the windows during the fireworks.
