Ok..deep breath....I just spent 45 minutes on the phone with WDW Dining. Thank goodness for the DC 800#.

I was calling to see if the rumor of the Hollywood and Vine breakfast being closed is true. It is. She then proceeds to list about 15 other restaurants that are going to be closed or revamped beginning 3-16-03. I didn't get the whole list. But, the character breakfast at 1900 Park Fare is going to be discontinued.

We have a PS for 1900 Park Fare b-fast on 4-10 and one for the H&V b-fast on 4-16. So, I asked to speak with a supervisor. This is the week before Easter...what are they thinking??

The supervisor could care less really. She told me not to worry about any of this until I get a call from them. LOL yeah sure. That's a plan.

That really stinks! We, too, are very disappointed about H&V closing. I need to call back today & try to rearrange some of my PS's in 2 weeks. Hopefully it is still doable. :rolleyes:

I spoke to someone yesterday to cancel my H&V PS & asked about any others closing, and he said not that he was aware of. Guess I'll call back again! :confused:

I also received a call about our lunchtime PS at Tony's at MK - we had an 11:30 PS & they bumped it to noon because they are now opening later. No big deal - but they are definitely cutting back significantly.

I just called down to member services for DVC, because we have PS for 1900 Park Faire on 3/27. She said she hadn't heard anything about that one being discontinued and added that she "doubted it, because it's one of the most popular ones."

Boy, oh boy -- how do these cast members get such differing information? These rumors are enough to drive all of us crazy!

I didn't catch the name of who I spoke with, but because I also saw this rumor on another thread, I called back, this time to WDW-DINE and that CM also said there's no truth to the rumor about 1900 Park Faire. He said the only one he knows about is the closing at H & V.

I called back to WDW dining. The guy said there was no plan to eliminate the character b-fast at 1900 Park Fare that he knew of.

Hmmm....I think I shall be complaining to Flo's supervisor yet again.

She mentioned Tony's Town Square and Narcoosee's (did I spell that right). I was pretty much stuck on 1900 Park Fare though.

I was really dissapointed about H&V.I loved the character lunch.

The 1900 Park Fare Breakfast is our favorite.I hope that neither are permanent.I have ps for 1900 in May for my dd's b-day.

Just another sign of the tough economic times. I had wanted to do H&V, but now that is out for our trip. I hope none of the other places that we are dining are experiencing any cutbacks.
