Mardi Gras question

I read on here that on the 27th and 28th
Mardi Gras will be going on. I was planning to go
to the park on the 28th. How crowded will it be on the Mardi Gras
days? Should I change my plans and go Wed? If its less busy
I would go on that day. I was at the park 9 years ago and I
can't wait to see all the new stuff!:Pinkbounc

The park generally gets busier the closer it gets time for Mardi Gras. I would arrive at opening and then work your way around.

I wouldn't stay away from Mardi Gras. The parade is fun. It's fun to catch beads! Just arrive early and do most of your stuff first thing before the crowds decend.

The parade begins at park closing. Closing hours vary, but the park has been closing at 7 pm and 8 pm recently.

Barry - You said the parade begins at park closing, which is scheduled as 8 pm on the day we will be going. Does the concert begin after the parade? If so, approximately what time would that be? And do you have suggestions as to where is the best place to be for the Mardi Gras parade? Thanks for all of the GREAT info! This will be our first trip to US & IOA (our first trip without the kids too :) ) so your posts have been a huge help.
