We just got APs for our family. DH could not believe they are as thin as they are. We have APs for Busch Gardens & Sea World, and they are credit card type. With "normal" (if there is such a thing) use, with admissions and Fast Pass, is my pass going to hold up? I mean, I'll put it in the little envelope and all, but sheesh -- can I keep a little piece of paper in good shape for a year? Yikes! :(

We have found that our APs hold up just fine through out the year. We've never had to replace them. They don't look brand new but they don't look beat up either. They get used 4-5 weeks out of a year. Hope that helps.

I've had one since 1998 and none of them ended up in bad condition. Usually the sleeve takes most of the punishment. You can always go to a guest relations booth and get another one if yours becomes torn. It's actually a coated paper, stronger than it looks.

Our sleeves look terrible. Our AP's look great. I agree, if you need a new sleeve just stop at a ticket booth and they will give you one.

Great, thanks! Looks like I will probably go through a few sleeves!

Thanks again!

Most of the time I've never had a problem. My current pass is expiring in about 7 days and yesterday in the weather it got drenched and doesn't look that good. I think if I go in the next couple of days I will need to get a replacement.

I have had to get them replaced a couple of times (after riding Kali River Rapids), but they are otherwise quite sturdy even if you use them frequently to get FastPasses.

I've had my AP replaced once because it got demagnetized (or so we think) since it wouldn't scan in EPCOT. I just went back to the Disney welcome center in Ocala on the next trip and they gave me a new one, no questions asked. I kinda wish I would have gotten a new one this past trip, since the 100 years is over.

Paid hundreds of dollars and all I got was this thin paper thing. However, they have held up great. We average going 2 times a month and the tickets look great. They have even been to the water parks and in the rain several times. The sleeve is really beat to.... well in bad shape.

Year before last we bought park hopper pass at FW and they were on our resort cards. (hard plastic like a CC) I was really surprised when we got the PAPs.

Yes, they hold up just fine. I recently lost mine & I had to go to guest services for a replacement. Gave them my license & had a new AP in seconds, no problem. So, moral of the story - always carry your I.D. just in case!
BTW, my AP was found & returned to me, but Disney de-activated my old one when they replaced it. Not that anyone else could use it with the finger scans.

It is no big deal to get one replaced. I have done this a couple of times.
