03-03-2003, 08:07 AM
Hope I'm not stepping on any toes by posting this thread, but I do my weigh-in first thing Monday morning....so I'm ready to post!!!!
First week of WW online was a success, I lost 3 pounds
Bring on week 2.........
03-03-2003, 09:56 AM
I am down this week:bounce: :Pinkbounc , which is great since I had some concerns about the eating plan my nutritionist designed...it has me eating more carbs than I was.
Here are my stats: (Jan 03)124.5/117.5/116...would love 114 for moving room.
03-03-2003, 10:11 AM
Congrats to you both!! I don't weigh in until tomorrow, but I got three compliments at church yesterday that my clothes were looking a little baggy! :) So hopefully tomorrow I will be asking for that 10 pound clippie.

After my first full month on Atkins................
03-03-2003, 10:28 AM
John, way to go!!!
As of Friday, I was down 17 pounds on WW. My weight loss should start slowing down again now that my appetite is coming back.
03-03-2003, 10:31 AM
Down one more to a total of 11 pounds.
Not much, but I'll take it!
03-03-2003, 10:33 AM
AWESOME!!!! You all continue to inspire me!!!
Fergie, I am doing WW also, I am curious as to how long you have been on program to reach a 17 pound loss?
Keep up the great work one and all!
03-03-2003, 10:48 AM
I'm back to where I was when I joined WISH! This is great news because my DH has renewed his interest in health again, so I will have support at home, too. I didn't do any physical activity last weekend (Other than some heavy duty housekeeping), so I am feeling a bit sluggish. We have been eating really healthy and the scale seems to be echoing that truth. (Of course, Betty may just be messin' with me again, so I won't count any success until I can fit comfortably back int my Disco Dress! That means about 20 lbs! I'll do it though. It's just a matter of how fast.)
Keep the Faith!
03-03-2003, 11:31 AM
I'm only on Day 3 of Atkins so I'm not weighing in I just wanted to say I started!!! Ouch! The headaches this weekend were bad but none today so far! That's good news! :D
Starting weight: 200
Goal weight: 140
You guys really are inspiring!
03-03-2003, 11:58 AM
THanks Boo'sMom for starting this for me this week. I got caught up with work this morning and was just coming to do it!!! Well I am down 2.5 pounds this week!!!! Not sure how but I will take it!!! Yeah!!! Now if I can only loose 3 more I will be at 10!!
03-03-2003, 12:33 PM
I'm down 1 pound. Not very much considering I have ...mumble, mumble, mumble...pounds to go:o . Just feeling a little down today. Its so nice to read of all you guys great successes!!!
I am down a pound and a half....I am jumping up and down, because I finally went down after two weeks of stand still. I am trying very hard no to step on the scale daily. I have decided that twice a week tops, and Monday is weigh day, so I better do the second time half way through the week if at all. I did start measuring, and will measure myself every few weeks too. I think that will help me not stress about the weight on a daily basis.
I am happy that I finally lost 1.5....it is 1.5 less on the body than there was last week :) :) :)

Yea! The boards are working for me again, today. (I'm one of those who's been having trouble accessing the boards.) Anyway, I'm back, and I've lost a total of 33 lbs. since mid-January (10 lbs. since Kelsie started the challenge). I've also been using my treadmill and Orbitrek. This low carb thing sure does feel good!
178 days and counting . . . again!
03-03-2003, 01:13 PM
My first week of "balanced" eating (not quite Zone, but lower carb, higher fat and protein) I have lost 3.8 pounds. Maybe I'll get a 5 pound clippie next week :).
03-03-2003, 02:25 PM
I am down 1 more pound for a total of 8 pounds! :bounce: :bounce:
03-03-2003, 03:07 PM
Everyone did so great last week! I don't weigh in until Thursday. I know it's a weird day but I started on Thursday so I weigh in on Thursday.
I hope I lose at least one pound. My losses have definitely slowed down. Scale isn't changing very fast, but I'm losing lots of inches :teeth:
Good job, everyone.
03-03-2003, 05:26 PM
I'm down 1.5 pounds for a total of 10 pounds. :Pinkbounc
03-03-2003, 05:53 PM
Way to go, NancyK!!! Grab that 10 pound loss clipart, you've earned it!
03-03-2003, 06:26 PM

That's what it all about :). I wouldn't mind being my weight as long as I was a size 8 or 10. Ha ha ha. I slurged on a scale that also calulates percentage of body fat. It weighs higher than my last scale, but I can handle that. I'll be tracking my %BF too. I should also track inches. Do you have any advise on how to do that?
03-03-2003, 07:36 PM
I'm still avoiding the scale but my clothes are looser. I need to be better about my carbs. I try, I really do.
Congrats to all of you "losers"! Way to go!!!!!
03-03-2003, 07:48 PM
I've lost another 3 pounds, putting me at 15! Yeah! I'll wait a couple of days to get the clippie. I'm always afraid that the weight will be back the next day! :p
03-03-2003, 08:16 PM
Way to go, Debbie! Congratulations.
Robinb, do you have a friend who could take your measurements for you? My mother measured me and she didn't ever get the vapors
03-03-2003, 08:18 PM
I lost 2 pounds this week, which is my first week. Thought it would be a little more, but hey, 2 lbs is 2 lbs, I am very happy with that. :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce:
Congratulations to everyone:)
Keep up the good work:) :)
03-03-2003, 09:27 PM
I weigh in on Saturday. This week I'm down another 2lbs....that's a total of 16lbs since I started Atkins on 2/1! I'm so happy!
Congrats to everyone...its great to see everyone having success of one kind or another!
03-03-2003, 10:11 PM
I am checking in early this week. I am happy to report that I lost 3 pounds for a total of 13 pounds. I even survived 2 birthday parties with no cake, no ice cream and no candy !!! 17 pounds to go.
03-03-2003, 10:46 PM
<font color=navy>Congratulations! You guys are doing so great! :sunny:
03-04-2003, 01:57 AM
Great job everyone!!! We are all winners at losing, even if it is 1/2 a pound! As long as we are committed to eating healthier we are on the right path.
My weigh-in was this morning, I lost another 4 pounds this week for a total of 9 pounds. I was briefly disappointed because I was hoping for the 10 pound clippie, but then I realized that 4 pounds is 4 pounds and I should be proud of that achievement. Hopefully in a couple of days I can say I lost that extra pound!
Keep up the great work everyone and have a nice day.
03-04-2003, 06:45 AM
I lost 1.5 pounds this week for a total of 9 pounds. I really thought it would be more because I have been SO good and I have been exercising. I may be eating too little though so Im going to try bumping it up a bit and see if that helps.
Congratulations to all our losers!!! Great job everyone!!
03-04-2003, 08:47 AM
Lost 1 lb this week! I am actually really happy about it because I had three weeks with no loss/gain at all....so this is something!
Total lost now=15lbs! (5 lbs since joining the WISH challenge)wahoo!!!!
03-04-2003, 06:04 PM
This is actually my FIRST WEIGH-IN---been at our other home for the last few weeks-- the home with no scale for my weigh-ins.
Good news I came back weighing less.
I " think" I lost a total of just over 5 pounds. ( not sure --daughter moved the bar on the scale while I was gone---guess she weighed herself.) Anyway weighed this morning----checking in at 155.75#. Oh, garsh I just went back downstairs to check where I'd left the bar on the scale----thought I'd gained so rechecked the scales by putting the weights to 0 and by doing this I moved the bar. Long story short----I hope I have a good memory and I weigh 155.75 not 156.75. Drats********.
Well at any rate I'm glad to have a 5 go in my wish sign.
Everyone keep up the good work-----.
03-04-2003, 10:41 PM
Here I am for week 2
I lost my second pound. Slowly but surely... Right?
03-05-2003, 06:36 AM
Look at this Look at how great we all are doing and how faithful we have been. This is just awesome!
What an amazing group!!!! Congratulations to all the losers!!!! I won't weigh in until the end of next week. Better get my butt in gear!!!
03-05-2003, 08:54 AM
Weigh in is today at WW. I hope I hit 20 pounds lost and can get my 5 pound clipart.
03-05-2003, 09:36 AM
Great work everyone!!!
I had my WW weigh-in on Monday and I lost 2.8 pounds this week!! This is my first loss for WISH, so I still need 2.2 pounds for that 5 lb clippie.
I'm up to 18 pounds total since I started WW in January!! Last weekend I went through a box of clothes in my basement and found a few things that fit now!! I still have a ways to go before the summer stuff fits though
03-05-2003, 10:27 AM
Congratulations to everyone on their successes this week. This is my second week of eating healthier and using The Firm work-out tapes (I even added the weights this week so I am pretty proud of myself). I weighed myself on Monday and measured my vital areas so hopefully next week I'll be able to report a loss. I feel like my clothes are beginning to fit better and I have a bit more energy than before so hopefully I will have something positive to report next week. Everyone keep up the good work!
Way to go Boo's Mom! Can't wait to hear how you did Breezy_Carol! Good luck!
My weigh in for this week is 3.4 lbs! Yea!!! That makes an even 14 lbs. total. I usually weigh in at a nighttime meeting but today went to the morning one so I'm sure that's part of it.
My SIL does no exercise and has had greater losses than me the past two weeks! I don't know what's up with that but I'm going to focus on my own loss and not compare myself to her.
Congratulations everyone on their successes this week! As others have said whether its one pound or several, or even a portion of a pound its still coming off!!! :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc
03-05-2003, 04:43 PM
Those who exercise may actually lose lbs. slower than those who don't exercise....muscle weighs more than fat and no matter what exercise you're doing you're probably building muscle somewhere. If you look at measurements though...those who exercise will most likely lose inches much faster than those who don't.
You did great this week, Liz! And even if you didn't lose as much as SIL, you're doing better simply because you're exercising. Good for you!
03-05-2003, 05:47 PM
Yahoo!!! I did it. I lost 2.2 pounds, bringing my total loss to 22 pounds. I have lost 5 pounds since joining WISH. So I FINALLY get the 5 pound clippie.
03-05-2003, 06:02 PM
That's great Carol!
It just occurred to me that I hang out with a bunch of losers...it's so cool! :teeth:
03-05-2003, 08:27 PM
Okay, I had weigh-in today and I'm down 3.8:D
That makes me 4.2 since joining WISH and a total of 34.2 since joining WW in October. Slow but steady will win the race for me.....
Gotta get at least .8 next week cause I want that clippie!!!
03-05-2003, 09:21 PM
i came here for some inspiration and as you know, I found it! maybe a little envy too :) I'm trying to get back on the Zone, I do good until afterschool and then i seem to cave. But, I have recommitted to an exercise routine and i've stuck with that so far. Hey, it's only 3 days but it's a frame of mind!
I didn't weigh in this Monday, I knew I wasn't ready and it would be disappointing. Maybe next week.............
thanks for motivating me to make it through the week and stay out of the kitchen!
oh - and I gave up chocolate for lent!
03-06-2003, 10:43 AM
I'm down another 2 lbs. since I got my 5 lb. clippie last week. I'll take it! I am looking forward to 10 though. Onward and downward! Diana
03-06-2003, 11:02 AM
YEA!!! After not going to the gym since mid-November, I went yesterday and got measured prior to work out. I not only kept off the 4.5 lbs from before but am down 2.5 more!! YEA!!!
Hopefully I stay on course and keep going! Lent is helping out...I gave up all red meat for Lent and am heading to the gym a minimum of 3 times a week.
03-06-2003, 12:01 PM

03-07-2003, 02:41 PM
I had my first weigh-in since joining the WISH challenge, and I lost 5.4 pounds this week.
So my Dis Wish challenge total is 5.4 pounds. How do you get the 5 lb clipart? ;)
My total weight loss, including everything before the Challenge is 125.4 pounds. I have 38 more pounds to goal.

I had my WW weigh in this morning, and lost just one pound this week. BUT- that's a total of 15.5 lbs since starting the WISH Challenge!!!
We leave for WDW next Saturday, and my goal was to lose 15 pounds by then, and then to maintain while on vacation. Once we're back, I'll set my next mini-goal.
I've got to thank all of you wonderful WISHers for the encouragement and sense of encouragement I have found here. THANKS!!!:p

Kathy, one pound loss is great, or if not great to you, it's better than no loss, how about that. Good job sweetie.
