View Full Version : How do I get a discount on a Universal hotel?

I've used codes to get discounts on Disney resorts, but we have never stayed at the Universal hotels. We need two nights -- Sept 29 & 30.

Can someone please give me the basics on discounts and how they work for Universal?

Also, we plan to go to Sea World the day we check out. How far away is Sea World from Universal?

I obviously need lots of help!!

The driving distance between Universal and Sea World is roughly eight miles.

The best discount is the Entertainment rate. Call the hotel and see if the entertainment rate is available for your dates. If it is, go to www.entertainment.com and buy the entertainment book for your area. You don't need to buy the Orlando book.
There are also AAA discounts, Annual Pass discounts, and Fan Club discounts. Ask what discounts are available for your dates. There is a VERY king person on these boards (Tinkerbarb) who has supplied a lot of people with the Fan Club Card.

I called Lowes 800# and got a Lowes membership (no charge). We booked a Pool View at the HRH for $129 a nite plus free bottle of wine and daily paper. We are so excited leaving in 3 days.
