Hi All,

I just read (in Disney Magazine) about these pins which you can purchase online and give to CMs who are especially helpful. Has anyone used them before? How do the CMs react? They cost $15 for 3. Is it worth it?

Thanks!

I had not heard about this but it sounds like a cool idea. Do the CMs get anything for collecting the most? (Maybe some $$$ as a bonus) or is it designed as a "feel-good" thing.

Either way, I like the idea!

...What would Walt do?

Interesting question, actually... If he could visit the parks for one more day, what do you think he'd change? What do you think he'd do? If he could visit and just observe interactions between CMs and guests and what thwe parks have to offer them, what do you think he'd suggest?

Okay - I've got to tell you, I just ordered 30 of these pins.

Yes, that is obsessive, however, this coming trip is probably my last trip to WDW for awhile. (Not because of anything medical or financial...)

I'm taking a friend of mine who has always wanted to go but never has. We are both looking so forward to this trip.

I purchased 30 of these pins so that we can search out CMs that deserve them. Yes, we may not find 30 CMs that deserve them, but I'm hoping that I actually run out of pins during this trip.

Crazy, huh?

It's all about karma.....

Redbeard52,

I think I'll order some, too, for my March trip. I think it is a really nice gesture. Apparently you log on to the website to record your positive encounter with the CM to whom you gave the pin. I think having the pins would make me more likely to actually look for great CMs rather than only focusing on problems.

thanks everyone for the comments.

thanks for the link. I haven't read my Disney Magazine yet, but I just ordered mine. I didn't order as many as you Redbeard52. I only ordered 1 pack of each. I'm bringing them with us on our cruise in October.

A few years ago, I ordered 3 of the pins. I only sought out CM's who provided an exceptional experience. Two of the CMs, didn't really react to the gifts, but the other CM was very touched. I know that I really made her day.

Just following up:

I didn't want y'all to think that I'm going to be giving all 30 pins out this trip. Me and my friend talked about it this morning and have a game-plan that we're going to follow.

Any pins we don't hand out, we will bring back with us and give to some friends we know that can use them during their upcoming trip.

I just ordered 30 so that I would have enough. I would hate to meet that *incredible* CM on the last day and not have a pin to give her/him.

So...in my normal "let's-go-over-the-top" way, I ordered 30.

Kungaloosh!
