I'm told the air conditioner at the Royal Pacific works on a motion sensor, which turns off the air conditioner, when there's nobody in the room. That sounds awfully uncomfortable, after a day at the theme parks to walk into a hot room. Can someone who has been there tell me how comfortable the rooms were, in regards to the air conditioner?
Thanks

They have the same system at the HRH where we stayed last March. The room was never uncomfortable. I was afraid that at night, when we were all asleep and not moving that the AC would go off and the room would get hot, and I can't sleep when it is too warm. But that never happened. The temperature in the room was always fine and we never touched the thermostat.
we were at the RP in December and actually had to turn UP the heat a few times.

Never a problem. A lot of hotels seem to be moving to these new sensors for the thermostat. They seem to work great, and we too, actually have to mess with the temp less.
We were at Portofino Bay last June and had them by-pass it. They were happy to accomodate us. They sent somebody over to adjust the themostat right after we got in the room. We will have them do the same at RP this coming June.
