Character lunch reservations and Thanksgiving dinner?

We will be at US/IOA for 3d starting Thanksgiving day. Where would be a good place to eat that day (do not necessarily need turkey) and how far in advance to make ressies for character lunch? Also, on Barry's wonderful listing of character meet and greets (printed out b-t-w) I saw Scooby and Shaggy characters. My whole family just LOVES them. Where do we see them? Thanks - Rose :D
